I'm looking for some help in paring down the options!

More and more gentlemen are preferring to receive a text message rather than an email to be notified of upcoming visits.

I know there are a lot of apps out there for mass texting, but I am looking for one that doesn't require me to have all the numbers on my phone.

I would like to be able to store city specific contact lists with phone numbers online so that I an send out a text message to all my contacts in a city at the same time - without having to store those numbers on my phone.

Any recommendations greatly appreciated!

Thank you for your time, and I wish everybody a happy and productive week!

Yeah nothing like getting up in the morning and having your wife ask you "who's this" after she's figured out how to google the number. It's called discretion, don't call us we'll call you.

Here Monday. There Tuesday. Here Friday. There Saturday.

"Oh hunmy, that's my secretary. She moves around a lot. Classy Angel is just her pet name".

Maybe you have a short list of "I'm allowed to text anytime" clients. I would hope so if you're going to adopt such a business practice. I would say, if someone wants to see me enough they will contact me and I can respond accordingly. Rather than sending out a group thing.

+1 the great majority of people don't want text regarding sp's schedule. I would really get pissed off if I get an unsolicited text.

My Boss has an app that allows him to mass text all of us with important info or extra shifts available...but I would think that the phone doing the sending would have to have the #'s stored somewhere so as to know what #'s to send the text to..
I gotta agree with others..unsolicited texts would be uncomfortable for some...
I allow texts with lots of ladies I have seen to give me a heads up when they are in the area...but I request that it initially be a ""hi""...they are all coded so I will know who it is immediately...and I respond when I can.

To see a..Hi I will be available form ???? to ????? on this day and that day in this town/city is not something I would want to get out of the blue.

Don't do this! Advertise if you want folks to know where you are.

I would never see anyone who breaks rule one. Discretion

Guys, before everyone bites this girl's head off, she did say that "more gentlemen prefer to receive a text when she's in town". So I am assuming she only means the gents who told her to text them when she's in town, as they prefer it.

I don't think she means every person who contacts her, but the ones who have explicitly requested it. I HOPE that's what you mean Angel, or make a list like what Daley says.

I mean you can have separate lists too, those who prefer email and those who prefer texts. It's twice the amount of work to set up, but if you are trying to be more efficient with your announcements, I'd say go for it, but do remember to confirm with each and every contact which way they prefer to be contacted and if they want to, at all. Or ask that in a booking form and record the numbers accurately.

Precisely. And be sure not to get your groups crossed in what goes to whom because that's an inevitable poop storm in the making. Last thing we need is texts from significant others! :frusty:

Everyone is different in how/when they wish to be contacted. You have to know who you can and can't contact at any hour of the day and honour that. Respect is a two way street and that couldn't be more true than in this industry.

I would never text anybody unless THEY REQUESTED the service

Discretion is always paramount. I don't like texting at the best of times, but the world is changing, and I have to change with it.

I don't, nor have I ever, held onto contact information for anybody, unless they specifically requested to be notified of upcoming visits. Until now, I have sent out emails for notification, but about 80% of gentlemen are now requesting a text notification rather than an email notification, and I am looking to accommodate.

The majority of gentlemen I see don't have the time or interest to peruse forums or advertising sites on a regular basis, and simply want to be notified when I will be in a city they live in or frequent.

I don't send unsolicited email, and by the same token, would not send unsolicited text messages. This would be something that is sent EXCLUSIVELY TO GENTLEMEN WHO REQUESTED IT.

And of course, I would never cross the paths of who prefers email and who prefers text. I would keep my email contact list, and have a separate text notification list - and the information between the two would not be shared.
