I am a scotch drinker, but how do you drink cognac?

Here
You just made me spray my drink everywhere when I read your reply! :D
I guess one should never read TERB with a mouth full -- whatever it may be full of!

And I guess I am also a lot like like you: over the years I have poured a lot of alcohol down the drain. But being very conscious of the serious environmental problems we have with pollution, I always first filter it through my kidneys.

I was surprised at the price @ $28 a bottle, but I checked and it is actually P i e r r e Ferrand Ambre Premier Cru de Cognac Grande Champagne. The bottle did come from Quebec where the P i e r r e Ferrand Ambre ( LCBO )is not sold.

It seems to be highly rated in the reviews.

On the road with Willy
Drink clear.
The colour is either added, or leached from storage barrels. Tanins are not particularly good for you.
Drink vodka, add water, ice, pure fruit juice if you want. No carbonated soda etc. You won't get sick or have hangovers.
Most of the rest is pretentious shit.
Do you eat grapes? Insist on washing them? Why wouldn't you.
Drink wine? Think they were washed before pressing? LOL!
Our local grapes require huge quantities of fungicides and insecticides. Yes we can grow them here. Our humid climate though exposes them to desease that they don't suffer from in their native countries.
I've seen the berries so covered that they look like powdered donuts from the various pesticides. If someone doubts me, I was a grower, I know.
The harvesters suck it all in and spit out a slurry of oxidated brown liquid.
Enjoy.
For me, double vodka over rocks and squeeze of lemon.

Love the prices of liquor and beer in the states...I am like a kid in a candy store when I am there!! LOL
You can get bargains from 33% - 50% off on booze in the US. The problem is getting it back across the border.

I do not think I will be able to get myself to spend the $3100 for one bottle, no matter how much money I have. How much better is it compared to the Remy Martin XO? Especially when I know I can get 19 bottles of Remy Martin XO or 51 bottles of Chivas Regal 18 in the US.

Remy Martin XO is the everyday drink. As for Remy Martin Louis XIII is for the special occasions and events. XIII The taste is perfect.

This is what my doctor told me. Avoid dark drinks like rum & coke, etc. So gin & 7up is OK?
In moderation I can not see that it makes much of a difference. If you are boozing it up it may keep you alive longer.

That is a below average bottle of cognac it is $30 at the LCBO.
I like Hine Cognac it is pretty good and I like it better than Hennessy. In Europe there are many types of Hine Cognac that you can not find in Canada that is amazing.

Evidently the P i e r r e Ferrand Ambre Premier Cru de Cognac Grande Champagne. is very highly rated in the reviews as a up and coming undiscovered gem in the cognac world. I am not able to fully appreciate it because I am a Scotch drinker.

Alcohol by itself contain calories. Aside from beer, wines and mixed drinks that can have a lot of calories a jigger of vodka is about 100 calories by itself before adding tonic.

Precisely, I agree, most of the calories come the ethanol itself, not the additives. Sometimes the additives instill more pretence, power and price than anything else. It's all good if you are just chasing the state of oblivion.

Probably none of us worry about the calories. It was Miss Croft that is concerned about her girlish figure.
