Can anyone provide an update, or recommend a decent steak and lobster place.
Did you know that Red Lobster makes all their meals in a factory and flash freezes it. They heat it up for you when you order it.Never been to House of Chan but I love Red Lobster. And I don't care what anyone says!
Have you noticed that when restaurants move or if there is a renovation they ratchet up the quality of food, and the service when they re-open?Still top notch but they are in the process of moving to a new location further east on Eglinton Ave. W, so I don't know if and when they are open.

Yes I've been there, and this was maybe 4 years ago. Brought a client and his wife out, we were two couples. Excellent food and the lobster was outstanding.Has anyone been to the House of Chan restaurant lately? They used to have good steak and lobster, but I have not been there in years.

Thanks in Advance,
Wow. That's expensive and I would name other restaurants at that cost with luxurious decor, quiet setting and better locations. That was the price 4 years ago. What would the cost be now?Yes I've been there, and this was maybe 4 years ago. Brought a client and his wife out, we were two couples. Excellent food and the lobster was outstanding.
On a side note, the total for 3 lobster and one steak tip in, was $620.00. with little booze.
No clue, never went back. But it does cater to many rich Jews in and around that area.Wow. That's expensive and I would name other restaurants at that cost with luxurious decor, quiet setting and better locations. That was the price 4 years ago. What would the cost be now?

Their most expensive steak (16 oz. New York striploin) is $60... a 3 lb. lobster (a pig out!) varies but is only a few dollars more... that's about $250... 30% tax and tip is another $75... how did you get to $620? Did you have a +$250 bottle of wine?On a side note, the total for 3 lobster and one steak tip in, was $620.00. with little booze.
I was wondering about that myself, I go to the House of Chan 4-5 times a year and my bills come to about half of that. We always have appetizer egg rolls, the main course is filet Mignon or seafood, and drinks. The bill is about $350 for four. ( with tip )Their most expensive steak (16 oz. I have made it very clear in prior posts that I am a great fan of this restaurant but, sorry, pal, for me it does not compute!
