It's only been open so long because we didn't know better. We grew up, we should move on.
I hear the owners were making a killing (No pun intended).
It's a profitable 'freak' show at the expense of animal wildlife.
You don't understand why people chose to help highly intelligent animals that have no ability to help themselves? This isn't an either/or type of situation. Why can't you both help animals and help people?
Again if the treehuggers want to close ML they can pay the wages of the students who have relied on ML for summer jobs for decades.
I won't come out and say this thread is useless, as it might help build support, but the protest is useless. This is how this person makes a living. There are no laws against what he is doing. You think he's going to shut the place down because 400 stand outside the place for a day? Or do you think he'll keep his business open for the hundreds of thousands that visit each year?
