You know you like it....

Being very rich and eccentric, I own an island on which I live in solitude. Every few days I fly in my seaplane to one of the neighbouring islands to buy provisions. One day I make such a trip to find that it is Sunday and the shops are closed. What is more, I recall that every shop in the entire island group is closed on Sundays. About to give up, I suddenly think of something and soon I am back on my island complete with food.

Where is my island?

Aren't there multiple answers?

A really rich person could actually buy Niue, which has a population smaller than the high school I went to. He could fly to Tonga / American Samoa and find nothing. Then still have time to hop over to Baker Island to buy stuff and maybe see an SP while he's at it before going home.

LOL

The answer in the book:

It must be on or very close to the International Dateline in the Pacific. When it is Sunday locally, on the other side of the line it will be either Saturday or Monday. The Solomon Islands is the only island group so positioned.

Except for the less than friendly frontier between the two countries the same would be true of the Greek Aegean Islands and Turkey. Even if the stores are closed on Sundays in Greece (and I don't know without looking it up, whether or not they are), they wouldn't be closed in Turkey.
