what kind of a male dominated society that don't allow men to defend himself against assaults? We live in a male dominated society. In other news, the Earth isn't flat and the ocean is salty.
I'm referring to the reactions of the men who stepped in and automatically defended the woman against the man and assumed she was innocent and needed their help. So I guess there's two stereotypes at work here: the male abuser and the helpless femalewhat kind of a male dominated society that don't allow men to defend himself against assaults?
Problem was he went beyond defending himself when he grabbed her and put her to the ground. That's now physical abuse as well on his part, period!what kind of a male dominated society that don't allow men to defend himself against assaults?
Even with quotas and scholarships i would still rather be a white man.The first isn't true if you factor in same work issues. For two people with the same talent and desire the female will have scholarships and programs open to her that men don't have even to the point of government jobs which in one recent example explicitly stated that no white males need apply.
Better to have guys express an interest in you once in a while than being invisible. If you don't believe me... or more to the point if you utterly refuse to accept reality that doesn't conform to your preconceived delusions ask any previously hot girl who got old and turned invisible.
If I could have a do over. I'd go female. No question about it.
A lot of it has to do with they won't ASK for more. I had to encourage my SO to go for it on a couple of occasions. She has the talent and work ethic but needed the push to demand the compensation she deserved.Women face a pay gap in**nearly every occupation.
From elementary and middle school teachers to**computer programmers, women are paid less than men in female-dominated, gender-balanced, and male-dominated occupations.

According to one site this disparity is over a lifetime so maybe they did get a scholarship but in the long run mem win.
Also the gap barely changed from 2003 to 2013.
Feel free to provide evidence to the contrary.
Maybe there are more male principals and what not.A lot of it has to do with they won't ASK for more. I had to encourage my SO to go for it on a couple of occasions. She has the talent and work ethic but needed the push to demand the compensation she deserved.
No one is going to hand it to you. You have to go get it.
I find it difficult to believe that teachers are not paid equally BTW. Between the union and the gender equality proponents to state that's still the case is probably proof of my contention.

Ah yes the age old pull up the bootstraps advice. Just try a little harder.A lot of it has to do with they won't ASK for more. I had to encourage my SO to go for it on a couple of occasions. She has the talent and work ethic but needed the push to demand the compensation she deserved.

No. That's not my point at all. What you just did was dismiss a legitimate point which I have heard from more than one source. That women when negotiating for initial salaries and raises are not as aggressive as men. And it's true. I'm not saying all obviously but the numbers go that way party because of that.Ah yes the age old pull up the bootstraps advice. Just try a little harder.
Take a look at graduating classes with a professional degree. There are more woman than men with exception of the hard-science, engineering, computer degrees. I see more women with low-mid range managerial positions than men. And these are quite well paid, 6-figure positions. At least what I've seen in the StatesWould you rather be a man or a woman?
Flat out being a woman sucks. You make less money and are the target of sexual come ons. And that's if you live in a first world country. Traveling alone is an issue. Etc.
Sure there are double standard but would you really want to trade with a woman?
There is validity to this. I remember a study whereby female and male graduates of the same class were followed for x years. The main finding was that the men were more likely to negotiate a better starting salary than the women. Flash forward in time with pay increases due to promotions, etc. and the men were even further ahead of their female cohorts because their base salary was higher. An x% increase of this amount equals more than the same increase on a smaller amount.No. That's not my point at all. I'm not denying a historical imbalance but part of it can't be legislated. It's up to the individual to to get the higher end of the pay scale in one on one negotiations.
