The Sioux indians called it Six Grandfathers. I do not know if it had any other name before being called Mt. Rushmore.

But to be more precise, before the heads were carved, it had already been called Mt. Rushmore for a number of years.

It was also known by early settlers of the area by various names such as Sugarloaf Mountain, Keystone Cliffs, Cougar Mountain and
Slaughterhouse Mountain being the most common.

I just read up on sloths and while they move very slowly, they do not sleep as much as we may think. Therefore my guess is now a koala bear, always high on eucalyptus.

Cats sleep the most.

Cats sleep from 16-18 hours a day.

I would think koalas or sloths?

Sloths do sleep a lot but not as much as cats and koalas induce drowsiness from the Eucalyptus they eat. Koalas seek out the best eucalyptus by the smell of concentrations of eucalyptus oils in the leaves. During some times of the year the leaves are at it most potent and koalas are known to fall out of the trees and lay unconscious with cough drop breath for hours after ingesting large quantities of leaves.
