Not any time soon. You can pretty much bank on getting Mayweather-Cotto 2.
Mayweather & Heymon were only half serious in sending feelers to Pacquiao's people. Not because they really wanted to, but because of the pressure put on them by Saul Alvarez decision to challenge Mayweather at the box office on May 2. Only a Mayweather-Pacquiao fight could have assured TMT a victory in PPV buys over an Alvarez-Cotto date.
But the first choice was always to scoop Cotto, thereby getting more titles with an easier fight and at the same time screwing Alvarez and his promotion - now Alvarez is stuck with a higher-risk, lower-reward fight with Kirkland, which will do well in PPV sales but won't beat Mayweather-Cotto - to do that, Alverez' only option would be Golovkin, and I'm pretty sure Oscar doesn't want him doing that this year.
