Trudeau to save the planet

'We have committed to putting a price on carbon.” That was Trudeau's position on climate change, he's single handedly going to save the planet by imposing more taxes and hardship on Canadians with more misguided liberal polices. Canada only accounts for 2% of global greenhouse gases, yet he's going to hamstring us with higher taxes. Without the US, China, India, Russia and others making real commitments to this anything he does unilaterally is nothing short of destructive. Kyoto was a joke, and any other agreement will also be jokes unless the aforementioned all come on board in a real way. This just goes to show his inability to talk about economic realities, higher input costs for everything from filling your car to the cost of domestic grown agricultural products. All in the name of liberal party dogma. We all saw how well green energy worked for Ontario.

CO
2 emissions (kt)[11] Emission per capita (t)[11]
World 34,500,000 4.9
China 9,860,000 7.1
United States 5,190,000 16.4
India 1,970,000 1.8
Russia 1,770,000 1.6
Japan 1,320,000 12.4

These are the OECD's top 5 polluters, convince all of them to act and I'll be happy to pay a carbon tax, until then shut Trudeau should just shut the fuck up and let the adults talk. By the way, where will this carbon tax revenue go, into general revenues, to some third world despot that will use this bribe money to buy black market coal and oil? I know for certain it won't go to combat climate change in Canada for the simple reason that we have no plan and nor do we have the international muscle to force China or the U.S. do do anything substantive.

Australia recently scrapped their carbon tax when they finally figured out it was harming their economy.

GDP is more of a driver than is population:

The Liberals dont give a crap about the environment. They'll say anything to fatten the wallets of their bosses the public sector unions.
