idiot drivers especially taxi cabs trying to run you out of your own lane and squeezing in front...there are weirdos out there that get in an accident then pin it on you...
I'm considering one as well but in the off chance it's me who does something I wouldn't want the cops or my insurance company to see, I'd like to be able easily remove the memory card.

Bought a dash cam, never installed it. Wanted to install it so it was out of the way and wired properly in to the car, but seems to be more trouble than it is worth.
No kidding!
I'd also want it to be somewhat hidden with wires neatly tucked away. I would be a pain to unhook it each time I park for fear of having it stolen.
That was the other issue. I park downtown in different areas at night and would be worried someone would break in to the car and steal it to make a quick $20.
I have one. Leave it on all the time. Been two years never stolen. It small cost 75 bucks direct from China. Works great starts when car starts or can be left with motion detection to see if anyone is checking car out. Records in 1080 HD.
The Cam has no name. I purchased it off of eBay a couple years ago. Chinese made. Most cameras have similar options.
