I was kinda going to say something similar. As someone who has worked in the marketing world for 35 years, I will say that an established "brand" like "Sinful Sophia" can have tremendous value. I'm not sure what the wise businessman was suggesting a name change would accomplish. Are you thinking that by dropping the "Sinful" moniker that you will suddenly fly beneath the radar, so to speak. I'm no fan of this new law, but I somehow think that our LE agencies are unlikely to be duped so easily. If you believe it will, then go all out and change your name to "Sister Sophia". A slogan such as "No Bad Habits Here" would surely through LE off of your trail... ;-)I'm sorry, did you have a suggestion for a new name?
Awesome jcpro! I looked it up and it means evils/sins.You could become Italian. Sophia Peccati.
Simple solution:
"Sexy Sophia..."
(wow, such alliteration so early in the morning... LoL)
Miss Sophia Sunshine (SS)
Thank You abv! I used to use that in my ad header, but I don't think many realized it was the highest order of angels in Christianity.Seraph
Hmmm, it has a nice ring to it Bickle.Well, you could go for moral uplift. I hear the Italian for saint is santo, so Sophia Santo ("Better to give and receive"; "Always ready to turn the other cheek").
No worries IYSA, I'll still be sinful, just not in my advertising. If you are adamant about not mentioning being Sinful, I would go with S. Sophia. That way when you are ready to be sinful again, you can. Hopefully those you want to see in the interim will recognize the moniker without it being spelled out for them. Good luck, Sophia!
how about Sweet Sophia?
Sophia Serendipity.
Sophia Sinn ?
Thank You everyone, all good SS suggestions, as that is what I come up as in name display! How about Seductive Sophia, or is that to forward for the neo-con-prudes?
I'm contemplating changing my handle from IV to Tony Testa. But I actually know one.
Miss Lee, please don't mention Brynn Winters around me - I pull a Father Oblivion every time I hear that name!
You Funny Guy!Mrs. Peter McKay??
or how about, Sophia McKay.
Thank You Malika for understanding my concern and being supportive, whether it be unfounded or not!I agreed with Sophia, better be safe than sorry.
We do not know how LE will enforce the new laws.
On another board word like sensual, fuck, squirting, all the acronyms are censor.
I wouldn't change my name for anything! That's your business name, your company name! You are Sinful Sophia Inc! Rebranding send alarm bells off to consumers that something is wrong. I'd never base a decision of massive magnitude on what a terb guy says! Ever! Get a good lawyer. Someone who regularly handles sex work/sex crimes/etc.
Also, I can assure you no one is going to be like "Sinful! Wow, we must get her!". That's just crazy talk. Its not like ur name is Hilda the Hooker. Believe me, every legal & enforcement agency I have spent hours meeting with gives a shit about what your name is.
At a time like this, where regulars will be your bread & butter (aka how you earn a living), changing your name could be financial suicide!
Get real advice before you make this decision!!!!

Anyway, Sophia Luxe has a nice ring to it, so go for it if you are looking for a change. If you are looking to escape the glare of LE, I'd start a black book, stop seeing new clients for a while, and lay low.
And that assumes that LE is going to give a rat's ass about enforcing a law that punishes the acts of two consenting adults... Which I think is a bit of a stretch.
Thank You for some sound advice MPAsquared, Stoo and wait for it (Celticman's concurrence noted)! Of course I'm concerned about changing it, but don't need grief in my life, so asked for feedback. MPAsquared, I haven't had the chance to talk to LE about this, so will take your advice. Oh and wait for it, maybe I like a paddlin once in a while. It might be illegal to place certain ads.
A guy seeing you might get in trouble but you won't be.
This would be the abosulte worst time to change branding.
You have a name which I assume people can trust, they can assume you won't narc on them to the cops if they don't pay out. Why hide that or get rid of it.
Also if you have to be more subtle with your ads keeping continuity can ensure people what they will be getting unless you plan on reducing your menu.
Any ads you use beforehand are not going to be retroactively illegal and I doubt anything you do is going to fool a judge or a pig.
Your "smart" business man probably isn't all too bright. A lot other otherwise successful people succeed on things other than big tasty brains. Hmmm brains.
Keep calm carry on.
Just don't name yourself Princess Sofia. That is what I call my penis and if you do so... ohhh that's a lawsuit, and a paddlin.
Thank You Perry, I try to be a loving woman and tend to you gents needs.Philos Sophia?
Perry

Aww shucks, Thanks doggee_01 and Titalian! With your reviews !! It can only be " Legendary Sophia"
Thank You Nemo Claghorn, this goes hand in hand with turning the other cheek. How about Sophia So Good?
Or Sophia Cushions. (Where I lose all my change.)
Why not Locogp40, that way I could even have a Linked In profile. LOLO'Sophia the Decorator'. I really need some lessons in decorating, I'm sure Sophia will be able to help.:eyebrows:
Yes Dear!A thread asking people what their new user name should be?
Need for attention and acceptance at its finest.
