I don't know why people hold John Torys Rogers experience in such high regard. Here is a large oligopoly that has used it market power to constantly fuck Canadians up the ass. I am assuming the electorate would like more of that.

How can Doug Ford - born into a rich family and inherited his resume - possibly expect to draw attention to other peoples resumes ? Are Ford supporters that myopic ?

Perhaps Doug would like to discuss the business activities omitted from his own resume: RY Drifter, James Garden drive-through...

It does bother me that Tory has downplayed his involvement at Rogers even though it's basically common knowledge. Why not just say that you were there to do a job just like anyone else? It's unfair to assume this guy is "evil" just because he worked at Rogers.

I'm getting tired of the negative crap coming out of Doug's mouth. As if he's never fired or laid anyone off or treated people like shit!

Tory omitted parts of his business resume, also is not saying he was on Rogers board during revers billing.
Tory wasn't on the board of Rogers Cable Div until 1999 - long after reverse billing. Prior to that he ran Rogers Media Div - so he had nothing to do with the reverse billing.

What's notable however, is that Doug Ford omitted "Drug Dealer" from his resume.

Doug was close to making Tory cry.
Tory desperately wants the mayors job and this all must be very stressful. See Tory has his wife out now during some events.

Tory omitted Rogers, that is the issue more than anything. Tory was appointed to the board at Rogers by his uncle or some relative owner.

Same as omitting being on the board of a company that lost 12 billion and went under. Not every day you lose 12 billion, but Tory probably was still paid, so no biggie, maybe Tory forgot about it.

Being on the board does not make Tory solely responsible for losing 12 billion dollars and going bankrupt. He was not the only employee at that company and not the CEO. Saying that he's responsible for the company losing 12 billion and going bankrupt is like saying that any random employee at Nortel out of tens of thousands was responsible for it going bankrupt.

What's the issue with Tory being appointed to the board because he did work for the company for many years. As far as I know, people are always appointed to boards of directors; it's not a position you apply for. I think Tory was hired by Ted Rogers senior, but that isn't any different than Doug working at the family business.

Besides, there are plenty of people that have gotten into a company where they knew someone that worked there. It's not an illegal or controversial practice.

It's Tory's choice to omit his time at Rogers or any other company so long as it doesn't affect him if he becomes mayor. Lots of people omit things in their work history.

Why do you keep spouting this fiction? Think if you keep saying it over and over you make it true?

Tory has never omitted Rogers from his resume - its there for all to see and always was.

And further to negative billing:

In a later statement, the Tory campaign addressed Mr. Ford’s assertion that Mr. Tory had a hand in negative-option billing by Rogers.

“Doug is not being honest with regard to John’s time at Rogers,” the statement said, quoting Rogers vice-chairman Phil Lind to clarify that Mr. Tory “was not even working at Rogers” in January of 1995 when the company reversed the practice.

“John joined Rogers in February of 1995 as the president of Rogers Media – a separate division from our cable unit,” Mr. Lind is quoted as saying.

I tried to think of a nice way to put this, but there is no nice way, so here we go.

You live in some sort of fog of confusion and exist at some sort of lower level of intelligence, a murky world in which facts, debate don't matter. Politics to you is about knuckle dragging thugs bullying people.

Idiot in fact is a kind word for what you are.

Let me guess: Are you a sort of sorry, failed slightly overweight man with a bad haircut and a stained shirt who is bitter about not having been more successful in life? You think it is all so unfair that others get and have what you couldn't? Close?? That is my image of a total diehard Ford Nation type.

Not sure, Rob the thug did not raise my taxes much and the city ran ok ....
Unless you use any of the city facilities where he dramatically raised "user fees" while pretending that they weren't a tax. Or the part where he raised your property tax significantly in order to make a down payment on his exorbitant, money losing Scarborough subway boondoggle.
