My suggestion would be to buy a prepaid card and use it. Hotels won't turn them down and if they ask tell them that this is what your company gave you to use.

Not sure how the Kitchener hotels handle it but I have done this in the past by reserving the room with the CC but then paying cash when checking out. I watch them destroy the original reservation.
No record on your CC statement.
