I saw they opened up one of the priest burgers on Weston north of hwy 7, but it had a real long line up, so I left.
Burger Priest is a hipster version of a quarter pounder with cheese. You can eat them without using your teeth, because they are simply regular ground beef with some flavouring. Most overrated burger I ever ate. When I dropped in on their place on Yonge near Lawrence, I noticed the business guys were salivating in anticipation. The female next to me looked at me for a second and we both said the big mac across the street was a better deal.

Lol. The current North Toronto Post is the "best of" edition. Burgers Priest was voted best burger...with 80.5% of the votes. They must have shilled the crap out of the voting! Lol.

I recently had the Stacked burger at Milestones. It was damned tasty. Prime rib chuck, Montreal smoked meat, bacon, shrooms....delicious.

Ha Ha I read in the book Lee Ia Cocco, Edsiel Ford would eat burgers at lunch. His cooks served ground up NY prime.

. Same Rag voted Blockbuster best video rental store in North York. It was published 6 months after the place was shuttered.

I went back a couple of days ago, I just ordered the cheese burger, $6.54 w/tax. It was like an 1/8 lb patty, it was actually pretty good, the bun really helped it, but way over priced for such a small burger, I will not return.

I think the Mcdoubles are 1.39, 2 patties and a slice of cheese, more than what I had at the Priest.
And, you won't be waiting 20 minutes. I went to "the Bugger Priest" a couple of times, once with a client, once when I was hungry and noticed a gorgeous woman in the line up, and could not resist. Waited 20 minutes each time, spent 30 seconds scarfing down the tiny burger. the buns were nice, but the prick hipsters didn't have relish. I fucking like relish on my burgers,

I have tried most mentioned, OBQ's 427 and Browns line puts all to shame
Is that a grease pit? I like them. Times Square at wilson heights and sheppard is a grease pit 1950s diner with ugly waitresses, and hairy armed greek cook sporting arm pit stained shirt and apron. He makes a great burger or fat, juicy new york strip for under $25. Huge portions. Licensed, smelly, a place where hipsters would walk in, and walk out in a flash because they don't serve sprouts or lattes. I love it.

Last month I was playing snooker at The Annex Billiards Pool Hall on 507 Bloor St W, a few blocks east of Bathurst. I ordered a burger from there and it was quite good. Really juicy and tasty and it was only $5.

Also pool is pretty cheap there. From 11am-6pm they have a special $7.00 an hr for 2 players.

Nice place and good burgers

Ultimately, unless the restaurant serves ground steak burgers, they are all pretty much the same meat. No reason a pool hall couldn't make a great burger, just add a tablespoon of HP sauce and a tablespoon of Soy sauce, and all burgers taste great.

No one can make a burger the way they did at Franks on yonge street just north of dundas, in the 60's. My mouth still waters when I recall the flavours. We used to go downtown back then every Friday nite and devour as many as we could afford. Burgers have never been the same since

Have not perused all 10 pages of thread, but has anyone mentioned the Real McCoy in Scarberia? Better than Johnny A and Hero burger.

Had a double cheeseburger at 5 Guys last week. Ok burger but the cheese was a really dissapointing imho, the processed cheese slices that fast food places would use.

I miss the Runnymede theater.. But Chapters did a pretty good job of keeping the place friendly and fun (and "theater like")... I shudder ever ytime I think about it becoming a Shoppers Drug Mart..
What! A SDM?

BTW, I tried Grillway this past weekend, but it was closed Sunday and Monday. So I went to Magoos. I'll try it another time.

lol i actually do a bit of burger hunting throughout the GTA and sometimes when i am downtown...

for my standard GTA burger I recommend Fresh Burger on lesile and 16th the prime burger is great. for downtown, i have to say Burgernator in Kensington Market is a great place for a good burger. For a cheap burger i would suggest Big Moe's on kennedy and sheppard they have a 2 dollar cheese burger tuesday deal.

My ATF burger isn't in canada unless Gordon Ramsay opened a Burgr in Toronto that i don't know about...
