While I don't personally like corona its a safe bet and neutral enough that those inclined to have a beer will be fine with it.

My personal bet would be a sleeman product. The regular beer drinkers won't care and the beer snobs will settle knowing what else is on the menu.

Considering the vast variety of craft beers in Ontario, a safe bet would be something from one of them. And you would be supporting a local business.

Corona. Anything light with no aftertaste.

German beers are fine, but might be a bit too skunky for the 'occasion'. ;)

GTA & Thereabouts...
I'd say just hit the LCBO and buy cans of whatever or everything. Let the guy choose. Surely a dude is worth less than $3.00?

If they choose a Bud, Molson/Coors or Labatts product - kick them out as they're not worth your time. ;p

Just so you all know, Corona has more calories than any other beer on the market. There is nothing light about it. Makes me laugh when I see girls drinking it all the time.

Cracked Canoe. Made by Moosehead. Lighter beer that goes down real smooth for those non serious beer consumption events
