Something is really f'd up. I just happened to login to my online rogers account last night and it was showing that I used 100GB in 1 day.
Also that i was over my d/l limit and that there was $135 overage charges.
I dumped Rogers as soon as they started the download limits. I like movies so I got in trouble very quickly. There are a lot of alternative choices (many mentioned here) just do some shopping around.

yes. it would be a surprise to burn 100 gigs in a day on cp24 if not impossible. why would a rogers rep call me?
oops I thought you were OP. I was inquiring if OP had heard from Rogers yet. I would be very surprised if the 100gigs was incurred in one day. Likely that was spread over several days. Rogers normally sent you an email as soon as you're over limit.

I had $50 overage from Rogers x2 this year just from leaving some Apps running and some windows such as cp24 open overnight.

Hard to believe people still use Rogers, Bell or Telus

I switched to Wind 4 years ago and have never paid more then 40 a month for phone, voicemail, text, email, and internet, which includes using my Blackberry as a hotspot for my ipad
I use Rogers for TV and Bell for land-line but getting sick of both.

I use Tel-Net for my internet. Not problems.

I will threaten to leave to re-negotiate but I don't want to change my email addresses.

OP - it may not relate to you but the first time I blew through a months worth of usage was the 1st weekend the kids got netflix - Sons of Anarchy - holy shit - the usage was incredible. Also you should change the netflix quality off of HD to a lower quality - HD option is a killer.

I had the Bell guy in for an upgrade and even he said use teksavvy - he said they pay $10 month unlimited from Bell then re-sell.

GPI - regarding email - My sister told Bell to piss off but kept her email address (for a nominal fee).

I down load 95% of my tv shows and movies via icefilms or wrzko which are both direct downloads and i watch a small amount of youtube vids for the rest.
I started keeping a closer eye on my d/l usage ever since i downgraded from unlimited to 150gb/month package so i wouldn't run into this problem.
Anyhow not much i can do now anyways. The sales rep got out of the overage charges with the upgrade that is costing a few $ less than what i'm paying now with 350 GB limit and 150mb/sec d/ ( now i just have to keep an eye on my invoices to make sure the charges don't come through)
F'd up part is i was out of the house for 18hrs on that day and when i got home i went straight to sleep as i had work again the next morning. Either Rogers fucked up or someone got a hold of my password and went ape shit crazy and downloaded 100gig worth of shit.

and yet teksaavy gave up customers info just last year.
A few months ago, not last year. Teksavvy fought it all the way to federal court, and they were ultimately ordered to give up the info by the court. What the fuck have Bell and Rogers done to protect our rights? (HINT: something between "fuck" and "all")
