Guys I was just wondering what you guys think of booking ladies with texting only. I said I would never do this but this last weekend I tried to book one girl who had been reviewed here before and she stood me up at the last minute by no longer replying to text messages. Lucky for me I had a back up plan for another girl who was reviewed here but she also stopped texting. I guess the texting thing just pisses me off. It is ok to get info but to me for final confirmation it should be on the phone. Would like to hear opinions on this.

I tend to agree. Some SPs have told me they prefer texting to weed out time wasters and guys looking for free phone sex but in my experience "text only" means pimp on the other end. I also find you can get a better sense of personality by an actual conversation.

I do it all through text. I have seen quite a few that were independents. Some also were pimped. I guess that's the chance I take. I have seen a few where their English is not so good so for them text is better.

I've booked through text most of the time.
No problems for me yet.

Once in a while I'll exchange a few e-mails with the touring ladies.

When booking through agencies such as Asian Passion, Sugarland, Moonbay, etc, I almost always use texts and there has not been any problem whatsoever. Some ladies also request contacting them using texts only. Whatever way they want to be contacted, I comply.

With the new law, have to consider that calls and texting alike are easily traced back. I suspect we'll end up using the same kinds of smartphone apps teens use now to escape parental supervision - snapchat, etc. No numbers, no logs, pictures that immediately delete themselves, etc.

I prefer to text, but I avoid ads with "text only". Especially new unknowns. And especial non local text only.
Pimp radar!

Yes, I expect texting in the sense of SMS through your cellular provider to go the way of the Dodo bird once Canada regresses back a couple centuries later this year when bill C-36 passes. Fortunately there are more texting-like apps that are incorporating encryption such as Wickr and we are starting to see voice apps that use VOIP on the data portion of your smart phone and also offer encryption. The smart women in this business will moving to these. I also feel that plain old phone calls will also become the norm. Text-only ladies and pimps will have to adjust.

I've had both good and bad experiences with SPs and texting but more good then bad. Only takes a few bad apples tho ..........

For your own security, does the SP also need to use the same app? Otherwise I assume there would be no record of the text on your phone, but it would still be on hers (and the cops could look at her phone to nab you)?

With agencies I prefer texting, and one reason I've been patronizing Bonbons rather than Mirage lately is that it's easier to work via text with the former.

Yes, the SP would need to have Wickr on their phone as well. You control how long before the message self-destructs on her phone. She can of course take a screen capture of the message but that implies that she is part of a setup. However this only ties the message to a Wickr user ID and not a physical phone or phone number so I'd be fine with that.

Guys, you have to also consider the generational gap, most providers are in their 20s so they actually grew up only using the txt function of their phones. The great majority of them probably had a txt-only plan as teenagers. The only person to ever call on it was their mother!! If you have a teenage daughter you'll know what I mean.

And didn't I read a comment from Cowboy somewhere that talked about how it was easier and cheaper for visiting SPs to get those "disposable" app # when travelling? saves on having to pay roaming fees and such, and those numbers are only available for texting (???).

He??? Where the hell do you see such a comment in my response.
Are you trolling? I simply stated the fact that for most 20 year olds texting is second nature and phone calls are not. That's the way they use the technology, has nothing to do with smarts!!

Phoning is not second nature to a 20-year old? You gotta be kidding me! If phoning is not second nature to a 20-year old, then do they need training sessions to learn how to use a phone? If not, then it's second nature to them. Texting and phoning should be both second nature to 20-year olds.
You really don't know Millennials and their preferences/habits at all, do you? Livefast is completely correct when he states that texting is by far the preferred medium of 20 somethings to conduct short and quick communication, such as answering repetitive questions from strangers and setting up appointments. Of course they're not too "stupid" to use a phone, which btw was a ridiculous comment, but a voice call is largely considered "old school" to them, unless a lengthier conversation (typically with friends/family) is required. It's not about needing training or an inability to use the phone, it's all about their preference and tendencies.

It's my preferred method too, but it'll be too risky with the new law.

I ran into this too. I asked why she didn't answer her phone, she claimed long distance charges. Really?
