I have noticed than Ive been getting lazy, physically and mentally lately when I have down time ..either at work or home.
I keep myself in reasonably good shape ( have to for work) and ofcourse I need to be fit for the ladies (stamina wise)...and I thank some of these ladies here for keeping me honest in that regard..LOL...but its my brain that needs a kick in the ass sometimes.
I found myself using a calculator at work for simple calculations and other lazy mans tools
Back in the day to keep us sharp my teachers would do rapid spelling and math quizzes to hone the quick trigger parts of the brain...similar to the fast and slow twitch muscles we use every day
It could be the multiplication tables up to 15...or 50 words of 4 to 5 letters fired out in rapid succession..no time to ponder type exercises...either you could or couldnt..
Back in the day I was heavy into chess...I have revisited it as way to pass the time now..but even that is getting tiresome at times
Now im into a more challenging game...yup...TIC TAC TOE...with a twist...its 3D...with 30% of the squares hidden....once ive mastered that im gonna challenge 3D Chess...ala star trek.
How do you keep your mind sharp???
Just wondering...
