You are soulless. I find it good and laudable that the danish government prioritizes animal wellfare above som barbaric islamic practices. By the way, the EU has much stronger rules about animal wellffare than Canada.
According to many, the slaughter of animals for food is barbaric by any method but thanks for making it clear that this is about religion and not animal welfare.

You have already posted that you don't care about how animals are slaughtered, painless or not. Good for you.

It would appear that the people of Denmark, who by the way produce a lot of food for export, have a better attitude towards animals than you.

Wasn't aware that OTB was the expert on Denmark on TERB and not you.
I am not a general expert on Denmark, my expertise is limited to the history of Vikings.

lol

I will defend animal rights here, to ease their suffering, and fuck any religious crap that will avoid this.

if stunning was common practice in Denmark, then fucking keep it that way.

halal won't make meat safer or healthier, unless I am missing something.

now if authorities introduced stunning just to mess with muslim (halal) and jewish (kosher), then fuck them too (the authorities). :)

animals first.

tomorrow is steak day by the way, medium rare.

Do you know how animals are killed in these ceremonies? Animals are killed in a simliar manner to this all over the world, and religion doesn't play any part. It would be a non story to the OP or yourself if there wasn't a religious connection to it.

please educate me on halal/kosher then.

what makes it different from regular slaughter?

all I wish is that the animal suffer as less as possible, I don't care about rituals.

now if some religious ritual ceremony causes unneeded suffering, then that's a big NO.

It is a very small minority of people who are complaining about the requirement for stunning before the killing of the animals. The mainstream Jewish and islamic organizations have blessed this requirement for 40 years.

For example, all chickens slaughtered in Denmark have been halal and kosher for 40 years.

Traditionally both involve a single deep cut on the jugular, carotid, and windpipe. Research using EEG implants recorders has been done to see how much pain animals experience from this and the answer is quite surprising, none to speak of in the first few seconds and then the animal enters a state of unconsciousness, the heart can still beat while blood drains, but no pain registers on the EEG. No different results are recorded using standard Western stun guns in the abattoir.

The distaste to the butchering of animal is basically a BAMBI reaction to the butchering of all meats, little more, unless you are of the, vegetarian, vegan, PETA persuasion.

Even if one believes in a God, it would be real hard to believe that he or she requires animals to be killed painfully, before they can be eaten.

Does the name 'Marius' ring any bells? Hate for you to stretch your neck out making silly claims.

See blackies post. The science seems to say it's not more painful.
