Had the Z10 for almost a year now. Awesome phone. Only issue is with battery lasting, but that's an issue with all touch screen phones.
Not all... The Z10 comes with a 1800mAh battery compared to the Z30, which is 2880mAh. That's a 60% increase in capacity. Couple that with the AMOLED screen and the battery life on the Z30 is fantastic. The Z30's battery is actually double the capacity of the iPhone 5s.

Are the Z10 and Z30 user friendly with the BB Playbook. Can these phones remotely controlled the Playbook as do the old BB6 and BB7 series. I heard that Blackberry is not really interested in supported the new phones with respect to there connection with the Playbook since they have discontinued the Playbook and are in uncharted water and not really sure which direction they are going in.

Mine synchs perfectly with my playbook. Email, calendar, text and BBM.

Heh.. Looks like OTB and djk have both been put in their place in this thread..

That's what Apple fanbois get for only having silly graphs to stand on.

After 7 months with my Z30 I couldn't be happier with my choice. I simply love this smartphone. BB has released 3 OS updates since I took delivery and another is expected in a few weeks. So for all the fears and negative comments from the usual suspects, there hasn't been one thing to worry about with BlackBerry and the Z30.

2 of my co-workers got this phone. I've never been a BB fan...THESE BLEW ME AWAY.....UNTIL...
1 of them keeps having problems with each update. The last update completely bunged up her phone a few months ago. She was being bounced back and forth betwixt Rogers and RIM, never got it resolved....She's now a happy Galaxy S 5 owner.

The other one who had the BB had to return it because I saw the conductive lines across the screen as soon as I picked it up. He called his provider and found that there was a ton of them with the same defect. He returned it for a new one...

Those graphs were to replace arguments regarding innovation or smartphone features with sheep graphs ... the large crowds can't be wrong.

I would get your gloating in quickly because I think Apple is far from incapable of innovative surprises. And from how BB has walked out of the funeral I was giving them - I'm guessing September could be an interesting new Apple release.

Just because you are happy doesn't mean you're not an idiot....

A long way from getting out of the woods, only two companies make a profit in the smartphone business, I don't see Blackberry being the third:

Let me get this straight. I'm an idiot for not purchasing a smartphone from one of the two profitable companies, even though it's an excellent product and fits my needs to a T?

That is your backhanded way of calling me an idiot. You then went on to say:

only two companies make a profit in the smartphone business
which is is obviously your reasoning for calling me an idiot.

My point is, the purchase of a Z30 was a good one despite all the negativity surrounding BlackBerry.

I don't think what would determine your idiocy was Blackberry's ability to build an iPhone ripoff - it would pivot on the viability of the ecosystem you've bought into - which isn't very viable....

The fact that you like the phone doesn't really speak to the viability of the platform.

Like most people, I typically get a new phone every 2-3 years. If at such time BB has nothing new to offer or I feel an Android or iPhone is a better buy then I'll switch to one of those. Until then, I'm sure my BB will continue to operate as well as it has from day one, which has been perfectly.

When you talk doom and gloom and the "viability of the platform", you make it sound like I've invested a million dollars in BB with the risk of losing everything.

My idiocy? I paid $100 for my phone on a 2 year plan. Do you realize how much of an idiot you sound like?

The upcoming BB phone with the keypad and resurrected "belt" is what I am looking at buying. My BB6 is still going strong, syncs with my Playbook brilliantly. Both currently satisfy my needs which at the end of the day is all that is important. I am however more concerned about the reduction in
technical support at BB and the probability that the bridging of the Playbook to the new upcoming phone will not happen at the release or even at all. The only thing that BB does reliably is to consistently deliver disappointments either by product delays, updates or support services.
