The idea is to win.

Bayern is the model club. No foreign sugar daddies, owned by the fans, reasonable prices for tickets to matches. Just a great organization committed to winning, quite often at a reasonable price.

In the last 10-20 years the BL has been very competitive certainly more competitive than the EPL, and Bayern have only won one of the last three league titles.

They are a club that all the other sides should be trying to emulate, not whine about.
yet they grab Gotze ( BvB bred player), Lewandawski ... and previously Dante (from Mogdengladbach ) and Neuer (from Schalke)

and dont forget when they poached Ballack and Ze Roberto from Leverkusen...or Kolse from Werder Bremen...

it s their philosophy... when they dont win, poach the best team in bundesliga for their best players, and screw over the suppporters of other BL players...

and please dont give me the "No foreign sugar daddies, owned by the fans, reasonable prices for tickets to matches" crap....

if it were like the BPL, where there are 5 or even 6 teams fighting for the league title, i would have no problem with Bayern buying players from rivals....but when its always Bayern v Bremen for two years , then vs BvB for three years, then vs Leverkusen for two years, then Schalke for two years... it becomes shit to follow..

All the big clubs pretty much "steal" the best players from midtable and lower teams.

Thats how they always stay on top

no they poach there closest competitor... not lower or mid table teams... and Real Madrid or Barca rarely poach from each other..neither do Man U and Chelsea...or Juve and Milan...

Leverkusen were league champs 2001 ,then following year Bayern poaches Ballack
Werder Bremen were champs in 2004... three years later they sell Klose
now its Bvb

i dont know how this is good for german soccer?... is it really about winning CL and that's it for the german giant?

In the last ten and twenty year periods, IIRC the same number of different teams have won the BL and the BPL, or maybe one less for the BPL. And in the same period I sure see a lot of Man U titles, 13 since the formation of the BPL. In the same period I only see 11 for Bayern.

And you may like foreign sugar daddies, teams being used to off load debt from other assets and over priced tickets, and a lack of goals scored...but I don't and I don't think most fans do either. I guess the BL is such sit to follow that they consistently have the highest average attendance of any of the significant leagues in Europe, as well as the highest average of goals scored. The BL is a model of how a league should be run.

Bayern is a responsible organization. Their response to when they don't win, is to find a way to win. As a fan this is exactly what I want them to do.

If it were not for Bayern, the morons who used to run Dortmund would have seen their team go under years ago.

Players want to play at Bayern. Lew was effectively a free agent and had large offers from other teams. What a crazy idea, build a fiscally responsible club where players want to pay. Craziness! We really should legislate this away.

Uhm, lower or mid table teams are their competitors. At least domestically

Thats because they are top table teams, and too busy poaching talent from lower or mid table teams

that's my point... in 2004 it was Leverkusen...in 2007 it was Bremen...2013..its Bvb.... any team that comes in second or bests BM , are in for a poaching...

the top BPL teams at least will buy from teams like everton, Newcastle, West Ham etc... but at least the top 4/5 seem to keep out of each others hair... i dunno seems like the bundesliga likes a one horse race... which IMHO is shit... anyone having fun watching Celtic in Scotland?

IIRC last year all the German clubs made it through the group stage. I think the same thing has happened this year.

That is pretty good for Pintos.

We can speculate about the future, but the past is a known quantity. The BL appears quite healthy right now, by virtually any measure.

my guess as well... mainly because BvB will be playing Zenit...
If Dortmund's defenders come back healthy they will be a strong team again. Last time they played Bayern all four of their normal defenders were injured.

I almost felt sorry for them.

I trust you arn't upset that a number of BPL teams are trying to scoop Reus and others...

i dont really mind the poaching of other teams(not within their own league)... usually those players are looking to bigger and better leagues and competition... im just venting about teams like BM that kill their own domestic league in order to in a European CL trophy

The league that Bayern has "killed" is the most fiscally sound in Europe, has the highest average attendance, has reasonable ticket prices for fans, has had a greater variety of champions than the BPL, scores the highest number of goals per game of the significant leagues in Europe, and does quite well in the CL.

If that is a "dead" league, I guess the rest of Europe is dead and buried.

Roma just signed Neinggolan making Bradley surplus to requirements, but he could do very well in Toronto.
