I'm looking for suggestions. I did like the onion rings at Apache Burgers years ago.

(Typo in the title was due to auto correct. I hope.)

I like Harvey's rings too. LOL. Thin, but a good onion-to-batter ratio.

I've also been hitting the Big Smoke Burger and I like their rings. Big sunova guns, and tasty. But 1 out of 4 visits resulted in greasy rings.

So close and yet so far.
I always preferred the onion rings with the Fish 'n' Chip type batter. One place I used to get them was Harry's at Lawrence and Kennedy. Now, this is thirty years ago so the recipe may have changed but I'm pretty sure the place is still there. NOT Harvey's, which is on the corner, but half a block west from the intersection on Lawrence.

In Whitby (if you happen to be passing through) the place to go is Starr Burger on Brock Street at Starr (a couple of blocks south of Rossland). They win the readers' poll in the local paper every year for the best burger too (try the Starr Burger, not the regular).

I find A&W's onion rings to be quite good.

I love the panko breaded onion rings at W Burger Bar just west of Yonge on College.

A&W rings used to be good, they have gone downhill massively in the last few years, and now they nickel and dime you by charging extra for them...

The rings from Shamrock Burgers are pretty good in my opinion.

In general, I like Harvey's. If ur in Scarborough, there's a place called Real McCoy burgers that have monster onion rings.

Over the summer, one late night while eating my burger at Real McCoy, the guy adding condiments to sandwich orders started collecting cash for new orders. Then he went back to wrapping up burgers, his money infested hands all over the buns. So sick, I threw remaining burger in garbage and left.

Never went back since. Food is pretty good otherwise. You get plenty of value for your buck. Rings are great and big.

Woody's Burgers' Lakeshore at Brownsline. Great burgers, great fries, but they should be double fried, and great rings.

Gotta agree with you. The Real McCoy was fantastic at one time, but the filth that is now evident everywhere in the shop has made me reconsider where I eat. This place must be paying off some health inspector to be allowed to remain open given the condition it is in

I would have let him make the burger then tell him to wash his hands and make me another. I've done that before.

Lick's has huge onion rings.
Better get them soon before they're all out of business.

I already had my burger and was half way eating it at the front of the store. Thats when I noticed what he did. Trust me, if he had done that with my burger, I would have demanded a remake. Really bad practice because I grew up going to McCoys from high school into adulthood. First time I ever encountered that behavior before.

Licks was better when it was just the Midland/Kingston Road location. burgers were homemade onsite and fries and onion rings were overflowing. Now burgers are prepackaged ( and available in supermarkets ). I ordered large onion rings. Yes they were still large but I only counted 6 for nearly $4.

Quality has really dropped. Even the singing of orders seems to be no more. Getting hungry for some Ringa Ding Dings.

In the 401 airport area you cant beat Master Steak for onion rings or anything else for that matter. They sell steaks for cash only , you pick the cut , they put it in a bag and send you on your way. There are four one pound ( 16 ounce) rib steaks waiting to be cooked tonight on the BBQ. cost? 40.00

My ABSOLUTE favorite onion rings are from the restaurants called Fresh. The Quinoa Onion Rings are crunchy, tasty, and amazing. Paired with the Miso gravy...UNREAL ! http://www.freshrestaurants.ca/eat
Seriously, I'm not vegetarian, but I love eating those rings there...especially with the Works Burger.
