I love fried chicken. I am wondering if anyone knows of some good places around.

I always go to KFC whenever I had that urge. Tried a few places but none has been better than KFC.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks everyone ! That's a good start for me.

I can't tell you how much I love fried chicken (and pork spare ribs too !). If I have to choose between spending time with a DDG SP and eating a few pieces of well-fried, well-seasoned chicken, I will go for the latter, hands down !

I am trying churches first since it does home delivery. I will try all the recommended places in the coming days/week and report back.

G'nite !

Try the Korean double deep fried chicken at Home of Hot Taste. They have locations near Yonge/Bloor and Yonge/Steeles.

Too bad KFC no longer has the extra crispy in Ontario. Made me switch to Popeye's.

Wait until you mix the two and you'll be on Cloud 9.
BTW Church chicken is not that good.

Once you have this chicken, you'll never go back to KFC, Mary Brown's or Popeye's. Best fried chicken in the GTA.
Stay away from all the big chains and sucker draws.

The Stockyards is the place!

Stockyards looks pretty pricey!
Stockyards Fried Chicken Dinner: You call $14 for 4 pcs. of Buttermilk marinated chicken served with fries, coleslaw, and hot sauce pricey? I would say that's completely reasonable for the best Fried Chicken in the city. I'm sorry but Popeye's or Mary Brown's aren't in the same league, not even close.

Fried chicken not your thing? Have one of their burgers, also one of the best in the city. The Green Chili Pimento Cheese Burger. OMG!!!

KFC - seriously!!

I stopped going there as I got the runs afterwards 3 times in a row - but that was years ago...they may have changed their recipe?

I have not tried the Stockyard. Must try.

When I want good fried chicken I go to Chick N Joy.
In Scarborough at Morningside and Kingston Rd(S/W corner) in the Tim Horton's / No Frills / McDonald's plaza.

Stockyards is great, but I would give Chick N Joy the edge. Both places are ok, if I happen to be in the immediate area only and are not really worth the long drive as I pass many KFCs which is only slightly subpar to these places. Stockyards doesn't have chicken available each day, has a line up for take out and often runs out of ribs or chicken by 7 p.m. Stockyards unfortunately does take over the phone orders, so it is best to call ahead and also check their website for daily specials to avoid frustration.
