Hi everyone. My sister and brother-in-law will be visiting me and my parents in Toronto in May for a week, and I was looking into helping them find relatively spacious short-term accomodations while they are here, as they are bringing my two young nephews with them. They are preferably looking for a clean, 2-bedroom location, fully furnished and accessible by subway (as my brother-in-law won't be bringing a car and has business in downtown Toronto).

I know that there are ads on Kijiji or Craigslist, but I was wondering if any of you are aware of other websites or resources that may be useful. Any advice is much appreciated!

I can't recall it right now but I looked at renting a Condo in Downtown T.O when I had family visiting.

It was right on Queens Quay and was stunning, price was not too frightening.

I will try to locate the website for you.

Drop me a PM in a few days if I have not posted it here, just to remind me.

There a website called airbnb basically the premise of the site is if a landlord or owner has a apartment or a house or even a room for rent for a short stays any where from a couple of days to weeks or even a month or more they can list it on the site.

https://www.airbnb.ca/?locale=en

Then the renter can browse the site and determine what city they like to rent in if you want a apartment or a house or a shared location or private location you can search by price and location in the city your visiting. There reviews of each property so it gives you an ideal of the location whether or not your getting what pictured in the property layout page.

I used airbnb when I went to Montreal with my gf to see nin and I was really satisfied with what I rented the owner had good reviews. The price I paid was 175 a night of a 1000sq loft with high end AEG amenities and furniture from Mobila private secured building that required three differnt fobs taps to get upstairs, centrally located downtown Montreal.

You deal with the host directly when your booking a place and once a place is booked that block of time is blocked off the calendar so there is no double booking of a location and if by chance there an issue with the place you can deal with airbnb by making a phone call to airbnb and they will assist you with the issue.

re: airbnb - don't wire anyone money and pick places that have a lot of reviews. Also, contact multiple places at once because it's not like booking a hotel, some people take a while to get back to you!

The host has to accept you so as soon as the host accept you then the money comes off your credit card and held by airbnb until you check in to your rental then I believe once you check out the money is released to the host.

I looked at the host and look at there reply rate and acceptance rate too on top of the reviews when I pick places
