7 lost Doctor Who episodes restored thanks to fan who recorded them in the 1960's

"...The series was thought to have been lost forever but a cine camera-owning fan had captured them when they were first aired in the 60s and they were restored by BBC Worldwide.

Although the camera didn't record the sound, staff at the BBC have been painstakingly adding the audio to the fan's films so they can be shown next month."

Todays marathon is a great opportunity to see the development of the character and some broadcast technology, thank god for PVRs.

never really watched the show. dont really know what its about. I know its a huge hit tho. don't really know why. never took the time to watch it. but i love the Daleks. I recently just found out what they were called. they're just awesome bigger versions of R2-D2's
