What will prove interesting if this shit ever gets to court is the audio intercept tapes the police have between Ford and Lisi. If Ford is in the tank while on those calls his chance of getting the minority vote if he runs again is doomed.
I believe that alot of people think that our city councilors are mostly useless. However, I just can't see ford ever getting elected.

Haha, "in the tank" another good pun!

Um anyway, today the media lawyers will be asking Nordheimer to release the wiretap transcripts. From some arrests made recently Lisi would talk about picking up and dropping off "shirts" to the dry cleaner so it will be interesting to see what codes Lisi and Ford used.

I think the people who took the video have all been investigated and many face serious charges. Taking the video isn't criminal. Is there any evidence that they tried to extort Ford with it? That would be criminal and is probably one reason why the police want to talk to Ford, but he is refusing to cooperate so they probably don't have enough evidence.
This is an interesting point. I understand that taking the video of ford (even without his consent) is probably not "illegal" (meaning there is no law against it).
However, what happens if you try to sell the video? So for example, if you try to sell a sex video of rob ford, is there a law against that? What about the selling of
the video of ford ranting and raving? Do you not need fords permission or is that covered under "news" because he is a public figure?

What happens if it is just you or me?

First, a sex video is different than a crack video. Sexual acts are understood to be of a private nature, while committing a drug crime is not.

Second, public figures have less privacy rights than you or me. By entering politics, Ford expects the media and public to take an interest in his character. It is important that society know what sort of person we have elected.

That said, selling the video is not illegal. However, threatening to make the video public unless payment is made would be extortion. It seems likely to me that the video sellers may have offered it to Ford under terms that could be considered extortion. We would need Ford to testify about that, and so far he is refusing to cooperate with the justice system.

Yes. He is a simpleton. Poor guy. (It really bugged me to hear reporters/spectators laugh when he said "God bless Toronto or words to that effect". The guy is down, and they kick him in the balls. He's been humiliated enough. Disgusting.)
I felt it was appropriate because Rob and Doug for the last 3 years were the biggest liars and they continue to lie. They used the media to lie unchallenged and now the tables have turned on them where they have been caught lying and they are getting lynched for good reason. Both of the brothers have been castrated and it could not have happended to a better bunch of people.

In my view, Mayor Ford is co-operating fully under the law within the Justice system. Also, I'm not sure that I could agree with your first observation under most circumstances.... Sincerely, Jon .

No, he's not co-operating.
The police requested he go in for an interview and Ford has refused.
What is he hiding?

So...? So what...? Mayor Ford is exercising his rights within the law not to speak to Police if he so chooses. Also see Post #: 477. Sincerely, Jon .
Which is not co-operating to voluntarily come in to the police for an interview.
He is exercising his rights to not co-operate.

Admit you are wrong, assofpuss.
