As I said, it takes a certain kind of person to celebrate the use of cluster bombs and chemical weapons.
Hasbara troll.
When the victims are terrorists, we should all be cheering. However, Israel did not use chemical weapons you are lying again. They did kill 700 terrorists. Fantastic!

Things not getting better, all a result of Syria's 30 years of occupation.

Is Tripoli on the brink of new civil war?

BEIRUT/TRIPOLI: Tripoli looked as if it was on the brink of a new civil war Thursday as a Lebanese judge issued a court summons for Ali Eid, the head of the pro-Assad Arab Democratic Party, in connection with the deadly twin car bombings in the northern city.

Scenes of Army vehicles, security checkpoints and barricades across the city were reminiscent of the 1975-90 Civil War. Since the latest round of fighting subsided last month, not a single day passes without a clash being reported between Sunnis and Alawites.

Caretaker Interior Minister Marwan Charbel, meanwhile, promised new security measures to restore law and order to the city, ravaged by frequent fighting between supporters and opponents of Syrian President Bashar Assad.

Gunmen in the Alawite Jabal Mohsen neighborhood, whose residents support the Assad regime, have frequently clashed with rival gunmen in the largely Sunni district of Bab al-Tabbaneh, whose residents back the anti-Assad uprising.

The repercussions of the Syrian conflict are not confined to Jabal Mohsen and Bab al-Tabbaneh, but have expanded to other neighborhoods across Tripoli, prompting many Christians to move to settle in other towns and villages in the neighboring Koura district.

Some Tripoli residents allege that the combatants are not residents of the city. A large number of them come from outside Tripoli, but still manage to tamper with its security, paralyze its economic activity and threaten the city’s social life, residents claim.

Sunnis and Alawites used to live together in the mixed neighborhood of Tabbaneh, but the Civil War and the Syrian occupation exacerbated tensions, driving the two communities to segregate.

A Lebanese commentary on Hezbollah's threats against Lebanon.

This week, for example, Hezbollah officials spared no effort as they used the language of threats, personal attacks, insults and general intimidation in taking aim at their March 14 political rivals.
....
The end result, however, is that Hezbollah officials, from Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah on down, are doing nothing to create a healthy political atmosphere in Lebanon. They are fond of lecturing about commitment to coexistence, but the only words they have for their partners is “support our views or we will consider you enemies.”

The message they have rolled out is clear: We will dominate, whether through political or other means, namely force. And the latest language has contained threats that Hezbollah will move from its current “defensive” actions to something else, namely attack.

Lebanese that believe this method of politics is harmful to the country’s national interest, meanwhile, should make this point of view known, forcefully, and study how to respond to such belligerence.

Another terror attack, this time targeting the Iranian Embassy in Lebanon.

BEIRUT: Lebanon slid into further turmoil Tuesday, facing the threat of Iraq-style sectarian violence, after two suicide bombers – one driving a rigged car and the other on a motorcycle with an explosives belt – attacked the Iranian Embassy in Beirut.

Twenty-five people were killed, including an Iranian diplomat, and more than 150 wounded, security sources said.
...
The attack, confirmed by Lebanon’s military prosecutor as the work of suicide bombers, was claimed by the Abdullah Azzam Brigades, a Lebanon-based Al-Qaeda-linked group, which threatened further attacks unless Hezbollah withdraws its fighters from Syria.

Even Hezbollah's political allies have come out saying that this bombing was the result of the Syrian civil war and Hezbollah's involvement despite Lebanon officially trying to distancing itself from the conflict.

Didn't the Irish help develop that technique?
Don't be stupid fuji. Irish terrorists planted bombs but didn't stick around to be part of the carnage. I guess a pint in the pub is more attractive than 72 virgins.

Our friend Fuji is obsessed with the IRA but conveniently forgets that atrocities were committed by all parties involved in the conflict, including the British military.

And you have been obsessed with defending Irish terrorism from criticism.
Tell me when and where the last Irish terrorist act occurred? We have to let bygones be bygones. Isn't that why we have peace agreements like the Belfast Agreement?

What we should do is remember but still move on. There were many Irish terror attacks and that should be acknowledged, as well as the improvement since then.

Same goes for the Hezbollah or the Palestinians. If they ever give up terror, those acts should not be forgotten but merely put aside to benefit the future.

Okay, this might be a positive.

New Cabinet aims to exclude Hezbollah: Berri

BEIRUT: A new neutral government that would be announced next week and that aims to exclude Hezbollah would face a no-confidence vote, Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri said.

“If this government is formed, as they say, from neutral and non-partisan [figures], the aim and the outcome of this action will be to exclude Hezbollah from the government and nothing else,” Berri said in remarks published Thursday.

Can't wait to see how Hezbollah reacts, especially since the STL is about to start the trials of 4 Hezbollah members.

Unfortunately (or maybe for the sake of peace fortunately) the article goes on to doubt that such a government would fail a non-confidence vote. Won't change much since Lebanon has been without a cabinet for more than a year.

Well one March 14th figure was blown up a couple weeks ago as I posted above so I wouldn't be surprised if they do that or even go more open and just start a military takeover.
