Pack of motorcyclists chase driver in NYC

The man’s Range Rover was surrounded by several bikers on the West Side Highway on Sunday. One biker apparently cut the driver off and slammed on the brakes just before the SUV bumped his rear tire. But when the driver stopped, several bikers began to damage his SUV — so he hit the gas and plowed through three motorcycles before speeding away.

Read the article. There were hundreds of bikers out that day without license plates. He may have done some bonehead move beforehand, but I doubt anything that was deserving of this.

He should not have driven into a traffic jam and stop. It seems if he kept moving he would have been better off, unless they shot at him.

No, it looks like the guy with the camera, came upon the range rover...who was cruising along minding his own business. They moved past him, then the numpty in the jeans moves over and comes to a stop on the freeway. Likely trying to create space or unwarranted right of way and clearance to allow the unlicensed bikers to pass. But his move was surprising, rather quick, and forces the Range Rover to brake hard. Not sure if he tapped the back end of the breaking bike. But certainly would have been unsettling.

Then they gang up on him...certainly looked like a robbery or car jacking going down.

However, I agree the Rover driver should have thought the next move out a little better. I would have been looking for the police.

I'm guessing he pulled off looking for a cop. If he hadn't seen a cop on the highway - he was probably hoping to find one on the city roads.
