Rockslinger...give it a rest. The point was that when you call Bell or Rogers you sometimes get a representative who you can barely understand. It's annoying as hell when I'm paying ridiculous amounts to a company and I call and get someone I can't understand. That's shitty service. I could care less about being politically correct. It's not my fucking problem that they have employed someone in a capacity that they should not be employed in because they can not yet communicate clearly in english.

Thank you. I made a comment same as anyone else and he went off on a tangent. Like it was personal attack to him. When dealing with people, over the phone, they should be speaking un-accented {insert language here} That is just one point.

The main point was these telecom companies trying to dupe us in saying Protect CDN jobs which I am all for except it is known, proven factual over and over that these companies out source so they are lying when they say anything about protecting CDN jobs. They are protecting their own pockets. Which is fine - it is a business, but don't lie so brazenly like that.

As far as not being to find telephone people who speak english, it's really rare I get someone who can't be easily understood. I suspect RS's phone number has been flagged and they do this to him just because it's him.

I call Bell and Rogers (I don't have a relationship with Telus) fairly often and never had trouble with their English.
Blackrock, you need to improve your comprehension of English (as do quite a few other members). I already said I never had trouble with their English. I bolded the relevant section of my post to make it easier to see. On the other hand, it seems that FF does.

Doubt this will change anytime soon, even if Verizon were to enter Canada, and it is not just telecom companies.
