Oh yes, that scientific journal documentary!

You are such a sucker believing the first thing you see, hear, read etc but a stubborn, insecure mule when you are shown the silliness of what you got sold!
So you feel eating three meals a day of a McDonalds burger, fries and pop won't harm you, really doctor? Tells us more. We need to laugh more.

Nooooo, your point that you made a fool of yourself was when you authoritatively parroted the dangerous sounding chemicals! Without knowing what they were. Dilute ammonia used as a disinfectant to ensure biological food safety.
Feel free to try and give the kids a show and tell and get back to us with review, if I'm wrong, iIm out of here. Something tell me i'm pretty safe, especially from a guy who wants us to believe he can't remember his last handle.

People drink alcohol - a designated poison in the physicians manual - so I dont think anything else they put in their bodies should be of concern. You just cant get any more toxic, relatively speaking, that consuming alcohol. I used to have a girlfriend who would drink a whole bottle of wine and then complain about me eating fried chicken from 7-11.

Poison? Water can kill you if drank incorrectly, but it shouldn't be considered poison. As with most things it's all a matter of measured intake. Next time you feel like 7-11 chicken buy an extra piece and let it stand on a paper in a small bowl until the next day to get an idea of how much grease in a single piece.

A study should be done on those who consume a Big Mac and a bottle of red wine per week for 20 years with meta-analysis LOL.

Your body doesnt need alcohol to function. Water, it definitely needs. 250 ml of straight alcohol will kill you. 250ml of water will make you healthy. You would die from drinking 250ml of straight alcohol, but you wouldnt die from eating the same volume of beef from McDonalds.

Who talking about need? Anyone who drinks straight alcohol is doing the human gene pool a solid. Salt and sugar are the next best thing to a narcotic. No one needs 950mg of salt in their burgers, but they get it for a number of reasons, it hides the fact that the 'food' would taste like sawdust if it didn't have it and you crave more of the same. Can you think of any good reason to have more salt in a supposed 'healthier' Mac salad than in many of their burgers.

Check the nutrition in a KFC double down if you really want to blow chunks and yet every summer it sells.

The new news is that the percentage values on most labels and charts that are used are based on the old very liberal estimates, the RDI, not the recently revised values in the DRI, .

I think Jamie's point is that ground beef treated with this stuff should be identified as such. Then the consumer can make an educated decision about whether to eat it or not.

And on that point, I agree with him.

BINGO!!!!!!

However, I post the following, direct from McDonald's about Ammonium Hydroxide - http://yourquestions.mcdonalds.ca/questions/2307. They say ammonium hydroxide in their beef is a rumour.

In my view McDonald's food is still brutally unhealthy, and my resentment comes from them doing their darndest convince us otherwise.

Actually they say it's a "myth" and they don't use it in Canada. Which is a good thing but nobody should think McDonalds is "healthy" for you. That said, there's nothing wrong with eating in just as long as you understand what you're eating.

and what will i learn that will change my mind about eating/not eating Big Macs?
Let me translate.

dihydrogen monoxide

'di' means two of the following element. In this case Hydrogen.
'mono' means one of the elemnt. In this case Oxygen

Therefore dihydrogen monoxide means a molecule made up of 2 hydrogen atoms and 1 oxygen or H2O, otherwise known as water.

Do you get the joke now?

p.s. The pink slime process is allegedly not used in Canada. Yes fast food is high in calories and fats but so is much home made food. As long as you tailor your exercise level to your caloric intake you will be fine.

If understanding what one eats at McDonalds is a requirement to eat there, I think their only customer would have been Einstein ;)

As I said what will I learn that will change my mind about eating at the Golden Arches?

As for being funny, I'm sure those who understood got a kick out of your response.
Some people get a kick out of the silliest things and laugh their ass off.
