Although you have to admire his ability to make money.
look at those prices!

another $400 just to get your picture with him!

let us say 4,500 people (their estimate) at $550 AVERAGE ?????

$2,475,000

I think that is low ball as metro fits more than that

it would be fun to go (all that screaming and adoration ) but at those prices I would feel like a fool

$50 for general and $100 to radiate in the glow of his teeth

but only if it came with lunch

A lot of these seminars are borderline scams. Not saying that Tony Robbins is a con BTW. Some of these Robert Kiyosaki and T Harv Eker seminars hook you in with cheap or free tickets, then try to sell you their other much more expensive seminars multiple times through the event. Then you have gullible people continually going to seminars looking for that small thing to improve themselves.

The overwhelming majority of people r gullible. I've been experimenting lately. Telling crazy stories to people to see who believes what. It's incredible what most people will believe.

So you have become a pathological liar?
And you expect us to believe you?

:( I like Tony lol I wouldn't pay all that money but I do download his stuff and gets me thinking positive. He made me get over my fear of going over a bridge with water under it. OK OK so I made myself get over the fear but he helped me.....lol

ok

let me try

he has no credentials

so

he steals exercises and concepts that may or may not work and pawns them off as his own

but, hey, no big deal as long as they work , right?

one worked for u and he brought u the information so all is well that ends well right?

ok

now, if one does work he has got his hooks into you so you gotta go see him, right ???

as well so do a lot of confused and almost desperate folks who HOPE he has the answer

now

so far

the only thing I am against is people who need real psychological help believing someone who has no credentials in the area he claims to be a world class expert in

still

no huge problem

he never says do not go to see a real psychologist (like some evangelists say throw away those pills for they are he work of the devil)

now

so this great guy spends his time helping people in need because of altruism ?

really?

look at the prices

clearly

tony is in it for the money or he would give lectures for a reasonable business man's profit allowing the poor to reap fruit from his vine of wisdom

personally, I have listened to several of this tapes and thought a lot of his points were flat out wrong, although some made sense, but most of his talk was just glib talk - a lot of sound and fury signifying nothing and meant to be a time waster to make you feel you got your monies worth

this guy has charlatan written all over him although, as u pointed out, some of his stolen ideas actually do have validity

still, I would go and see him to give him a chance but at those prices tony can fire walk off

tony has a world class marketing team and they know how to get their hooks in

Nothing wrong with Tony are just about any motivational speaker, coach, etc. but you're the one who has to take action. There are people who just keep going to their seminars, buying their books, etc. yet go nowhere.

Chris Hedges had it right when he wrote of people like Robbins, that he fulfills the fundamental role in the North American psyche of convincing people that everything that happens in their lives is in Their Control (laughable), and that if good things don't happen, it's all their fault because they just didn't WANT it hard enough.

Of course all this self - blaming nonsense allows the political and economic elites to shuck off all responsibilities to the working class for providing the support structures (training, portable health care, blah blah blah) that the working class REALLY needs to be successful. Bright teeth may appear to be innocuous but he really isn't, he's actually a symptom of an disintegration of the social contract...err, o.k., that was a little too heavy.
