HP were planning to get rid of their PC business, as you know. However, after they saw how Samsung's mobile business became what it is today, thanks to Apple's R&D, the lady CEO decided to hold on to it for a little longer

hp is basically a joke and has always been a joke when it comes to computers. hell gateway is better than hp. i wouldn't give an hp to a homeless person with cancer. as for apples r&d all they did was steal microsofts tablet idea and change the name and the amazing r&d at apple only figured out to make the same product bigger, then smaller, then middle size. that was worth every penny i suppose.HP were planning to get rid of their PC business, as you know.
