Watched last night's game and although you can't under estimate the Heat ... The Heat can go on cruse control and only go all out when there in a must win situation when your playing teams like Pacers and the Bulls but not the Spurs .. What is with Bosh taking 4 3 pointers ?

Parker was a man possessed in that 4th quarter. Awesome performance.

If I told you that the big 3 of the Spurs had 12 6 7 points but still won by 30 + points would you believe me ? Did the Spurs look at old Mav Heat games and find out how to contain him ? How does a superstar like James not go to the line at least once in a playoff game ?

Even James becomes irrelevant when the Spurs bench rains threes that effortlessly. That was amazing, but can they duplicate that performance?
Have to think that wont happen again. But still have to like the Spurs depth.
Grizzlies Zack was having an amazing playoff till he played the Spurs ... The Fact that James is only shooting jump shots and isn't getting to the line has more to do with what the Spurs then what James isn't doing ... Raps coaching staff should be watching these game films ..

It's over ladies and gentleman, the Spurs will be winning the championship this year and Tim Duncan, the greatest PF of all time, will be getting his 5th ring. The Heat are 3-23 all time playing in San Antonio, so good luck to them.

Lebron James: "Not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4, not 5, not 6, not 7..."

That's right Lebron, you won't get 7, you'll only have 1. If he loses this finals he would have lost in the finals 3 out of 4 trips, not a great record for someone who's trying to become the greatest player in NBA history.

LeBron James is not as great as people think he is. He can dominate people 1 on 1...not named Kawai Lenard. Lenard got his number. Where was Bosh Last night? Can't blame everything on Lebron. it's the Heat as a team. Did you see how many touches spurs had before the ball hits the rim?

Also to win a Championship in a lockout shortened season doesn't mean as much as a full schedule Championship ..

All good points, and how about Wade and Bosh?

Wade is only 31 and usually plays like a 40 year old, he had some amazing seasons when he was younger, but he's nowhere near the same player he once was, he shouldn't even be in the conversation of one of the top 15-20 of all time.

Bosh makes the all-star game every year, but the last 3 years he didn't deserve to make it, he only made it because he's part of the "Big 3" (more like the Big 1 and a half), he does not deserve to make the hall of fame based on his career so far.

Wade was great, 4 years ago....but nagging injuries and a body that seems to age faster then most NBAers have left it's toll in the present..have LBJ has lengthend his career, but i can't see this guy play more than another two years before retiring...

Bosh is the ultimate shill....he was the "franchise player" on a terrible team...and moving to Miami shows his true nature...not the 20pts 10rebs guy that we in Toronto saw (that's what happens when you are able to take more than 50 per cent of the team's shots), but the delicate outside shooter who can't post up against an aging 37 yr old in the twilight of his career...sad reallly...if he just put on his big boy rebounding pants once in a awhile, maybe Birdman wouldnt be upstaging him in the playoffs...

Bosh's claim to fame is how many Allstar games he has been in .... If Bosh was drafted in the West or signed in the West ... How many allstar games would have he been sent too ?

Love that you brought up Kawhi Leonard. I have been a fan of him for quite a while now. I truly believe he will be a Spur for the next 10+ years and in 10 years and he will be one of the faces of the franchise for the next decade. You are right on his defense. He has done a stellar job defending James in this series. Also, he is very good at getting offensive rebs and loose (50/50) balls . And Kawhi also makes an inordinate number of hustle-plays or what I like to call "championship plays". He also is a good cutter and his jumpshot is improving. Really a big fan of him.

And you are 100% spot-on on the Spurs ball-movement. This team does a great job of ball-movement, body-movement, screening, cutting, etc.

I would also add that I feel like Miami's loss had as much or more to do with defense than offense. Miami was poor defensively in all areas last night - they did not defend the paint well, they did not defend the 3-point line, they did not clean up on their defensive boards, and their defensive transition was not good either.
Fantastic points by you!

One of the things the Spurs are doing is that they are giving both James and Wade a cushion, inviting him to take those jump shots. Also, on ball-screens they are going UNDER the screens instead of going over the top which also baits Lebron into taking jump shots. They are also playing some solid individual defense on him too - Kawhi Leonard in particular. The Raptors can look at the film if they like (it certainly wouldnt hurt to do so) but I would submit to you that X's and O's are only part of it. The other part is the Jimmy's and the Joe's.

Perfectly said .... We keep hearing about what Lebron isn't doing but never give credit to what teams are doing ie Mavs and Spurs ( Finals ) to prevent him from getting his baskets ..

Kawai is the perfect man to guard lebron. If you look at how the mavs beat the heat. it was shawn marion who guard him. Someone who can put a body on him. Popovich is a great coach. You don't let Lebron and Wade have their way to the basket. Make them Jumpshooters. Lebron is a great player and a future hall of fame...but Michael Jordan he is not. Until the heat work as a team, they're not getting the ring this season. And maybe start by respecting their Coaching staff.

I'm loving this series. Although I hope there are no more blowouts, love the nail-biting games that come down to one or two possessions.

I'm rooting for the Spurs 100% but I fully expect the Heat to respond, being the defending champs and not go out like chumps.

Game 4's are always huge when one team is up 2-1. Being down 3-1 or tied 2-2 is a huge difference and it always makes for some great games, let's hope tonight delivers!

Another thing too is I believe that the key for Miami is their perimeter jump-shooting. Bosh missed on numerous good looks in that 1Q the other night. LBJ also has not been knocking down his perimeter jump shot. I listen to the radio and I hear people calling in saying Lebron isn't being aggressive. Lebron at the moment is taking what the defense is giving him but he must start to knock down some jump shots in order to loosen up the SA defense . Generally, the Heat team needs to start doing a better job with their perimeter shooting in order to create the requisite floor-spacing to open up the driving lanes that James needs in order to be aggressive to get in the painted area and get to the foul-line. Unless that happens the only time LBJ will get in the painted area is in transition. And as we all know playoff games & ultimately series are won/lost in the halfcourt.
