Apple iOS 7

I'm amazed none of the Apple fans have started up a thread on the iOS 7. Announced this week at a programmers convention, I have seen a couple initial videos and the iOS 7 gets rid of a lot of annoying attributes of previous phones and added features usually only available through Jailbreak.

A personal annoyance on my old iPhone was the was the multi-step way of terminating apps but now Apple is adopting the swish to terminate apps similar to Android. They have a quick slick way to access your multi-task programs and jump between them.

I looks like they have finally adopted the live wallpaper with a spit in the eye of Samsung by duplicating the moving bubble /device of Samsung as one of their own. Sadly the closest they have to widgets is animating those little program icons (the clock keeps real time) but maybe they will be here soon. They have not indicated that they will have NFC capability but I understand they are developing file sharing capability.

I find this very interesting not because I want to throw out my Samsung then rush out and buy an iPhone (yet) but there is a old technology feel that surrounds the iPhone in a tech savvy market. I have always believed that that is one of the reasons the stock has lost a lot of it's value - much more than the market share or slowing sales would account for.

I think Apple has a 'Blackberry' moment of truth coming this fall when their new products are introduced. It looks like iOS 7 can help throw off the stale innovation image and that would reflect in a significant stock increase. Opinions ?

to be fair I think it's great that Apple are getting these new features in IOS 7. I know they are going to love the things that Android users have taken for granted for years...... at least now they have almost caught up to ice cream sandwich

When I was watching the rehearsed enthusiasm gave me cause to hurl. It was like these were simple minded kids who could be astonished by a lamp switch. I would hazard a guess that like FOX news feeds key words to their staff to repeat over and over for their audience to remember; Apple execs are trying to influence the editorials and give Apple fans a few words to repeat for their friends.

This might look like a casual presentation given in casual clothes but a lot of work goes into rehearsing every nuance, gesture and adjective. It might not be as cheesy as Samsung S4 was but I'll bet it was just as well thought out.

i heard a lot of the options on the new ios7 and i got to say i been enjoying those features on my droid for 3 years now. my buddy has been enjoying them on his droid for 5 years. good to see apple is ahead of the curve with finally getting 5 year old options.

i am not a fan of droid. i could say a few things i don't like about them and some flops they have.

as for what you asked the drop down menu, notification and auto update are all things i have been enjoying for 3 years now. just to name the first 3 that pop into my head.
