LOL... No video..no proof. There is so much hatred from the left wing that they would created a fake video to stick to Rob Ford. It was definitely a fake vido created by the left wing people who cannot accept the fact Rob Ford is the mayor of Toronto! Bunch of sore losers. No video therefore no proofs .. it shows that Toronto Star & Gawlers lost all crediblity in Journalism. PS Toronto Star start doing some real journlism.. like go after your liberals friends that broke the law by erasing the emails associates with the power plant scandals. ONtario provincial law enforcements is now investating the liberals.
The conspiracy theory stuff is really, really weak.

Ford's chief of staff quit telling Ford to go into rehab. Now his campaign manager says he won't help him in a re-election bid unless he goes into rehab as well.

You gonna blame that on left wingers?

There is clearly a conspiracy to discredit Ford at whatever cost.

If any of us were subject to the same smear campaign, we would be destroyed. The Star did this because they could, and legally is very difficult to prosecute. They made their splash, they sold their papers, and they will simply wait for the next story.

The sad fact is, as flawed as Ford is (and he is very very flawed), he is still a better mayor than Miller ever was.

Fixed your post. A rather important detail you left out there.

And yeah, there is no such thing as a former disgruntled employee

Not saying he is for sure, but you seem to have conveniently left that option off the table

What's really weak is making an unsubstantiated allegation, represent that there is proof but never showing the evidence....

what is even weaker is just avoiding the issue and hoping it will go away without ever clearly addressing it.

agreed ... nobody knows if he was even expected to return as he left the mayor's office in 2011. I read and re-read the article, and nowhere does it quote him saying he wants Ford to go to rehab for substance abuse problems. They don't actually say he SAID that ... they say he INDICATED that. Press speak?? "sources" say "has cited concerns about Mr. Ford’s health and his ability to withstand the pressure of another campaign." but I don't read that as a request to enter rehab. Maybe it's just me. :D
We'll see if there is a big retraction for the story or not, if so you may have an argument. It is highly unusual for a campaign manager (even former) to let this kind of thing out in public. Nobody wants to hire people who may turn on you publicly.
Also, this story came out in the Globe, which is supposed to be a right wing paper, not the star.

These types of stories will keep coming out as long as Ford refuses to answer the core questions or until the video surfaces, if it does.

Seriously..did you read the article you referenced???

"The mastermind of Rob Ford’s 2010 election victory has indicated that he will not work on the Toronto mayor’s re-election campaign unless Mr. Ford enters rehabilitation for substance-abuse problems.

Sources with close relationships to both Nick Kouvalis and the Ford family told The Globe and Mail that Mr. Kouvalis, who was Mr. Ford’s campaign manager and briefly his chief of staff, has cited concerns about Mr. Ford’s health and his ability to withstand the pressure of another campaign.
"

First: Kouvalis has not been working for Ford since 2011.
Second: This article is not quoting Kouvalis himself, but "sources with close relations". Yet the title of the article makes it look like the source is Kouvalis himself.
Third: The only quote from Kouvalis himself is: “I love the Ford family, and I will do everything I can to help them,” Mr. Kouvalis said when asked to comment.
Fourth: The way the article is written, the first line ("the mastermind... ) might just be a statement from the Globe reporter, and not even a quotation
from "sources with close relationships...". So Kouvalis might not even had made the comment about Ford needing to go to Rehap, but the article makes it sound that way.

I will continue to say it... I don't know if Rob Ford has a crack problem or not... but the media's attempt to prove their point should be criminal.

Ford answering the "core questions"??? That's a bunch of nonsense. The fact is that no matter what Ford says, there is a large group of people
who will twist every word that he says into something different.

If Ford comes out and says " I have never smoked crack". The Ford haters will say he is lying and continue with their attack.
If Ford comes out and says: "I tried it once". The Ford haters will say he is lying, and that he is an addict.

The only thing that the Ford haters want to hear is that he smoked crack or any other drug. They don't care if it was yesterday or 20 years ago. They don't care if he had
a toke when he was in high school. All they want is a reason to throw more dirt. Once they have that, then they will feel vindicated and they have a reason to justify their hate.

Ford answering the "core questions"???
I think almost everyone would accept the results of a drug test, one way or the other. Unless the circumstantial pressure builds up to the point that he resigns, the only other thing that's going to resolve this is a drug test. If he comes up clean on that test, I will still not like the guy--but the idea he's a crack addict will go away for all but the most extreme. Yeah, maybe he cut his hair, but crack addicts are regular users--he can't have lasted since his last haircut if he's really an addict.

Do you support liars in office?
Aren't you curious whether he lied or the star/gawker made up a story which is now at the Post, Globe, CBC and all around the world including Taiwan?
I could care less about whether Ford smoked crack, but if he lied and called others liars to cover his ass then he should be kicked all the way back to his fathers stamp business.

crap..........He has not said, "That video is a fake because I was never in that situation, smoking crack with drug dealers "....Why would he not say that???????? Because he is afraid a copy of the video will eventually come out ?? He even waited one week before saying the video doesn't exist! ( probably took him that long to try and bury it)......yet, his insiders claimed he told them he knew where the video was.....hmmmmm.....Most of his staff have been trying to get him into rehab for a couple years. Man.....get yer head of of Ford's ass!!!!

Don't be silly groggy... They are all LIARS. David Miller was one of the best liars because you never knew he was lying.

Of course I want to know if he is a drug addict or not. Crack is one of the most
addicting substances on the street, and if he even uses Crack, he should not be in office.

THE POINT:
The point is that the star/gawker or any other "news" organization should not be allowed to publish such
accusations unless they are ready to provide some proof. Its been over a month(?) since the story broke?
No video, and no witnesses coming forward to say they every saw Rob Ford smoking crack. You would have
figured that if Ford was smoking crack, there would be many guys lining up at the Star to tell the story, and probably
receive some cash for it. What will the next accusation be? That Rob Ford is a pedophile?

Have you never had someone accuse you of something when they had no proof? What was your reaction?

I agree with your stance. But why hasn't Ford filed a lawsuit for slander and defamation with gawker/star?
