I saw that documentary at Hot Docs last year...the guy was a complete idiot putting everything in his wife's name in Thailand. I'm not saying you won't get scammed there, because you definitely can, but if a guy is not desperate, then he can do very well, and play the field, without losing everything.
You mean you do much better in third world contries where you get treated as a meal ticket and you don't think you have to treat the women as equals.

I'll give you this that there are women who fit your description to the letter. But they aren't the norm, just the exception. Imho, there are more women that prefer goals achieved through self-fulfillment. I work in the wedding industry, I have frequent interactions with women in relationships, and just on my own anecdotal experience, most of the women I've met would do almost anything for their S.O. I've rarely met a bridezilla, something I was quite surprised about initially. I can't speak to why the experiences for some of you here have been so bad, but even in the so called "frigid Toronto", I routinely find myself amazed by people, of both genders here.
I agree that there are nice women here - I have many long time friends who are women as we go back 10 even 20 years - but I just don't want to have relationships with them. Although they are my friends, I can still see that they act (although some don't look like) like men. Those who are in relationships, often try to dominate. So I treat them pretty much like my male friends.

The women in LA are much nicer than the women in Toronto. You don't have to go to some country with submissive women to see the difference, women don't have to be submissive either. It's just something about Toronto, and other cities might have the problem.

Western girls charge higher prices (literally and figuratively) than anywhere else while offering a shittier product in return. You'd have to be insane to stay in the west if given the option.

women in Asia have to fight (like the men there) to survive. There's no fantasies for them -- just reality of life.
i think women here lack the clarity of reality. Nobody wants a subservient women - but men do want fairness and respect. We are not bottomless pits to give, give and give more.
