Oh well. Ford survives until the next scandal a few weeks down the line.

Which of the 3 copies, fuji??
What's been in the papers:

Ford knew of location of the video
Ford asked Price to get the video
Ford's chief of staff resigned over this or Ford's refusal to go to rehab
Ford declares 'there is no video'
The people with the video disappear.

Co-incidences?

You didnt answer my question.
Doolittle reported there's as many as 3 copies out there, maybe even more.

Let me ask again, did Ford by all 3 copies??!

I'm asking your opinion (so I can have a good laugh)
I would guess that Ford had a hand in disappearing the video, judging by the timing and his comments. But whether all the copies disappeared or went into hiding, who knows.
What do you think happened to the video?

I dont think he bought the video. It would be foolish, because those Somali's could set up a second ambush and videotape Ford buying the first video for $200,000, and then they would have a second video of Ford, which they could then sell for another $200,000.

That would bring their grand total to $400,000.

Also if Ford did buy the video, he would also have to buy the other 2 that are floating around out there, which would cost him $600,000 at least. Highly unlikely he did all that

Sure, so when he bought the video, he probably just acknowledged that they could continue to extort him, and worked that into the deal.

$150k cash now, plus $50k cash every year going forward for as long as he's mayor. Something like that. Or since they are drug dealers who like quick cash, probably more like $1000 per week, every week, on top of the initial payment. Whatever.

Ford might not be an Einstein, but he's not dumb enough to chase 3 different people around the country and spend $600,00 to buy 3 videos, when he doesnt even know for sure if those drug dealers made more copies they are holding back.

Use your brain, people

His family seems to be intimately associated with the ways that drug dealers think, I am sure he knows how to strike a deal with kindred souls.

As I said, just assume they made copies, and build that into the deal -- pay extortion money every week or every month for so long as he's mayor.

Seems to me one of the first rules of being a reporter, is that you don't break the "big story" until you have the evidence in hand.

There are reports that the Somali community knows and is very upset with the guy with the video.
He may not have had to buy it all.

Hey, that 'conspiracy theory' comes from Cook at Gawker.
Direct reports from his intermediary.
LOL...exactly. Let me check my unnamed sources at TMZ and the National Enquirer so I can verify this new information.

Maybe the Masons or some other secret society took care of it. My opinion is there never was any video to start with. Just because the Star says their reporters saw one doesn't prove anything. The only way to settle this issue is to produce the video, if they can't that should be the end of it.
