With all the Rob Ford media attention and bashing as of late, I am interested in knowing where you stand in terms of whether you would vote for him in the next election.

There are worse candidates than Rob Ford.
But there are A LOT OF BETTER CANDIDATES.
If this crack thing is true, and it looks like it is - Rob Ford is finished politically. Absolutely finished.
To me, this opens the door to a guy like John Tory to run and I'd vote for Tory in a heartbeat.

I think he would do a good job. I am not sure if he could get out from under the cloud of having lost a number of important elections. It will be interesting to see who shapes up to run on the left and the right in the next election.

If he wasn't, most likely I'll give him my support and put a Ford bumper sticker on my car.

Depends on who he's running against. Wasn't Smitherman a drug user, as well? Toronto Star has a real short memory (or bias :Eekon these things..

I think Doug Holyday would make a fine mayor. It's hard to support Tory, as he's had his kick at the can and lost both municipally and provincially due to putting his foot in his mouth with unsupportable policies (ex. public funding for religious schools)
But if it's Ford against Chow or Ford against Stintz.. I think I'd have to hold my nose and vote Ford.

A video, shot by a drug dealer, shown to a newspaper that has a vendetta against the mayor. Oh, but we can't see the video, because the drug dealer wants a million bucks for it.
Smitherman admitted to using drugs.
Obama admitted to using cocaine. Google it, if you must.
The Gawker campaign has raised about $50k in the first day.
Sounds like we might get to watch it pretty soon.
But note that Ford has yet to publicly specifically deny he smokes crack or was in the video.
I don't understand his reaction. Nor will I defend it.
This is not something that's going go blow over.. Ford needs to address the issue.
Over one third of you would still vote for the idiot.......is there anything he could do to lose your support? Murder his wife, admit to being a pedophile? anything? Because his list of fuckups is huge and you still love the guy. This is gonna make a great movie of the week some day.
The Mayor Crackman Ford will easily win the next mayor election.
Subways, and no taxes. After that recent subway debate, city council supports that position.

Politically, he holds the winning hand. No one will emerge to defeat him on political issues.
Not Flip-Flop Woman. Not Weasel Man. Not another ring winger eight, because Crackman Ford has more street cred than those wannabes.
The only way Crackman Ford can lose next election is via character assassination, like they do in Third World politics with help from CIA or KGB.
