Thank you Dr FujiAddiction isn't class conscious. It works just as well on rich neurochemistry as poor. It's possible he started with a more typical rich man's drug like cocaine classic and "upgraded" to a quicker delivery mechanism after becoming addicted.
Classic FUJI speculation, perhaps on steroids.Thank you Dr Fuji
How can the story be legit if there is no evidence, other than 2 Star reporters claiming they saw a video of Ford smoking a substance. This is not the definition of investigative journalism Jennifer. The Story is legit.
The Star is the only paper that does investigative journalism and we're lucky for it.
We deserve to know the dirty details of our mayor's actions whether we like it or not.
Gawker was the first, independent from The Star (and kept the story for 2 weeks) -- did The Star drop the ball? How can the story be legit if there is no evidence, other than 2 Star reporters claiming they saw a video of Ford smoking a substance. His sister had multiple drug convictions and was married to a cocaine dealer. Several other family members have similar issues. Before this video Ford was able to distance himself from his family's problems, but unfortunately it is not a stretch to think that the darker Ford family traditions have involved him too. He clearly has access to cocaine and is intimately connected to a community that uses it.This is one I'm going to say I'll believe it when I see it.
On principle, I disagree with the guilty until proven innocent nature of drug tests. But I do agree that Ford has to clear the air.His sister had multiple drug convictions and was married to a cocaine dealer. Several other family members have similar issues. This story has enough legs that Ford needs to take a positive step to clear the air, either an admission that he has a problem, or a drug test proving he doesn't.
He is a politician, by definition he is being tried in the court of public opinion. He isn't facing a criminal charge, he is facing an election. If he wants votes, he needs to kill these suspicions, he has to show people he can be trusted to earn their votes. On principle, I disagree with the guilty until proven innocent nature of drug tests. And Ford does have a history of both substance abuse and lying about the substance abuse. On principle, I disagree with the guilty until proven innocent nature of drug tests. But I do agree that Ford has to clear the air.
Right on, and that is why I think this story will linger and last for a while, with Crackman Ford not denying anything. He is a politician, by definition he is being tried in the court of public opinion. Either it is true and Crackman Ford is hiding something, or it is an elaborate hoax.
If it is the latter, Crackman Ford has to milk this political prosecution for all its worth. Another baseless attempt at the Mayor of Toronto.
This is a huge political power play.
Crackman Ford's election for mayor in 2014 is happening right now.
The Mayor Crackman Ford will easily win the next mayor election.
Subways, and no taxes. After that recent subway debate, city council supports that position.
City council supports Crackman Ford's core positions.
Politically, he holds the winning hand. No one will emerge to defeat him on political issues.
Not Flip-Flop Woman. Not Weasel Man. Not another ring winger eight, because Crackman Ford has more street cred than those wannabes.
The only way Crackman Ford can lose next election is via character assassination, like they do in Third World politics with help from CIA or KGB.
Third World politics is always more fun.

And how do you know he didn't Conact Alan J. Lenczer ?I'm wondering "why" Rob Ford retained the services of "criminal lawyer" Dennis Morris, instead of contacting Alan J.Lenczner, Q.C. who handled his conflict of interest case, rather successfully, I might add. If The Star and Gawker are defaming (slandering) and harassing him, wouldn't a civil litigator have been the "obvious" choice? Although Lenczner may not have been available on Friday, http://www.litigate.com/bios.aspx there are 46 other lawyers at Lenczner's firm that are more than capable of preparing a press release on Fords behalf.
Before I pass judgement, I'm going to wait for the rest of the facts to come to light. The crowdsourcing account has now raised close to $64,000.00 http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/rob-ford-crackstarter Hopefully the video will be made public soon.
Dear sir, I think I am just teasing people, ie the Ford haters. LOL.I'm nor quite sure why you say 'if', as you seem to be sure he's guilty referring to him as Crackman more than once here and in other threads.
Seems like Ford isn't the only one on crackThey do however do good investigative journalism (unlike the rest of Toronto's news publications....)
If he had, criminal lawyer, Dennis Morris, wouldn't be acting on Fords behalf. If The Star's story is proven spurious, Ford will need a civil litigator to file the defamation lawsuit. Civil lawsuits are outside the purview of criminal lawyers. And how do you know he didn't Conact Alan J. Lenczer ?
