Tim Lambesis, lead singer of the Grammy-nominated, Christian heavy metal band As I Lay Dying, has been arrested for allegedly trying to hire someone to kill his estranged wife, officials said Tuesday.

Never heard of this group before, I guess hes old school divorce is not an option. The only religious group Ive ever heard of is P.O.D.

Does this sound like someone meek and mild or someone making a far more powerful statement

In the First Century striking someone deemed to be of a lower class with the back of the hand was used to assert authority and dominance. If, however, the struck person were to "turn the other cheek," the person striking them is faced with a dilemma. The left hand was used for unclean purposes, so a back-hand strike on the opposite cheek could not be performed. The other alternative would be a slap with the open hand, but this was seen as a statement of equality. Thus, by turning the other cheek the struck person was forcing the striker to admit they were an equal.
