You are entitled to have an opinion based on what you see and hear and read. Management has their opinions (and has to act on them) based on their information sources. I am asking do you think you have more information at your disposal than team management when it comes to making decisions regarding team matters, i.e. roster, trades, playing time etc.? Even naming captains.

Actually every single person knows the answer. By not even being able to admit such a blatantly obvious, simple premise, which even you know is true, you are making yourself look silly.
There is no shame in admitting that the people who run a team know more about that team's players than even the most ardent fan. That's just the way it is. It can't be any other way.
Having said that, I'm glad you've finally accepted that fact. Have fun and state and debate your opinions but remember a fan can never have more info than the people who get paid to make the decisions. And they do make mistakes (look up Leafs history since 1967) and we have hindsight.
