The Raps need this Canadian

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vV-Ck5RLNuo

The Next Lebron / Durant maybe Canadian

I know all about Wiggins, and he's available for the draft in a couple of years. Chances are though Wiggins won't be Raptor bound. The Raptors are playing pretty good and won't be the last placed team to select him unless they pay dearly for first overall pick.

1, 2, 3, 4, and now 5 in a row ... Good night at the office for Bargs ... Not big numbers but points at key times in the game

For those who think anything has changed in RaptorLand...
(Other than Colangelo's pending 3 year multi-gazillion $$$ extension + benefits + perks)...
The Raps are a 3 point underdog to 15-36 Washington tonight = reality check.
Decent win though. I see things from Gay that I don't like but the team seems to be working well with him there.

As for Wiggins, people I've talked to say he's good but not Hall of Fame good. We can always hope though.

I wasn't overly impressed with Bargnani but at least he displayed effort, more than he did in his past couple of gmes. He must have been doing something right as Casey still had him on the floor at the end of the game.

Ross! When he came out of the game his facial expression and body language were awful. He sucked and deserved to sit. I love a guy that wants to play, but when you get the opportunity and you suck, you deserve to sit. If he was traded it would not upset me.

Rudy Gay maybe showing a bit of why Grizzlies fans may have been fustrated with him .... 10 for 25 , 4 for 21 , 6 for 14 , 8 for 19 and 9 for 25 and he only avg 4 times going to the free throw line ie doesn't attack basket ..

Yes his shooting percemtage is at best so so, but he draws defenders, freeing up others. If Bargnani decides he wants to buy in he is going to get a lot more uncontested shots as teams concentrate on Gay. Bargnani will have to show he can and will play defense, if he does the Raps just found another piece.

What I notieced about Bargs is first nobody hardly passes to him now ie before it was a given or law that Bargs gets the ball . Also he doesn't take stupid shots ie he
gets the ball and passes it ( unlike before when the ball came to him he would force a bad shot ) . I think Bargs has accepted his diminished role but maybe it is because he knows his days are numbered .

Please don't get me wrong cause I am just saying I may understand why Grizzlies fans aren't crying blood murder that he is gone . I understand the benefits he has brought to the Raptors . Also on nights when he is having bad shooting nights ... When a big basket is needed those are the baskets that go in ... Last night when Wizards were coming close ... that is when Gay hit a shot that we needed . Before Gay when teams got close the Raps would be making a house with all the bricks they were throwing up which that caused the Raps to blow a lead and lose .

Bargnani, I think you and I are pretty much in agreement. Last night he actually was inside on defense, made a block grabbed a few rebounds(4?) and showed some interest. I agree he is passing instead of just looking to shoot, if he buys in and plays hard he can help and at 10 million he keeps you under the cap. Still need a little more effort for him to be really effective.

I see no reason for this team to pay the luxury tax. Even if they make the playoffs,( and that's a real long shot), an 8th place team should not be over the cap.

The Bargs Apologists have been feeding us THIS for 7 years.

None of it matters...
Because Bargs has mental issues that prevent him from being a solid NBA player...
And he is not fooling anyone serious... and none of this will ever change.

Besides Colangeo's sociopathic Ego...
There are actually rational reasons why Bargs is still plaguing us...
For 7 years no trade has EVER been possible except as a one sided DUMP...
Bargs is only fooling the idiots on RealGM...
Every NBA GM knows it's just a trade garbage for garbage situation.

As for Gay and his "inefficient" shooting...
He more than makes up for it with things like 3 steals/game.

Colengelo's history shows he isn't afraid to undo a wrong ( TJ Ford , Jaret Jack , Hedo etc are guys he aquired only to trade them cause it didn't work . As for sticking with
Bargs he isn't any different then most GM who are loyal to their 1st round draft picks and often those draft picks have the longest leash .

Look at Bucks who waited till 7th year until they realized that Bogut isn't a franchise player .

Zero, I don't know where you get the idea Bargnani has "mental issues". IMHO Bargnani was not made to toe the line as say Ross is. It appeared there was a different set of rules for Bargnani than there was for other menmbers of the team. No matter how well or how poorly he played, he still got his minutes and his defense never improved. He often scored a ton but at what cost? He rarely has been required to do anything but shoot the rock and you knew once it was in his hands it was going up. Things are changing. He is no longer the go to guy and if he wants to play for that next contract he will have to play Casey's way or have his ass parked on the pine. I still believe there is a lot of talent and I would rather see the Raps draw it out than an opponent. On the other hand, if he does not buy in to the program, send him packing. I see him as a pampered manchild that is being brought back to the real world, not one having "mental issues".

Colangelo correcting his bad moves usually has involved sacrificing a first round pick and taking back questionable talent.. Bargs has now negative trade value as his contract is too big to take on a guy who is just not willing to do what it takes to win.

Last night sure didn't improve his trade value or his value to the team. 0 pts 2 rebounds in 21+ minutes. I actually thought he tried but he just doesn't have the physical strength of the Memphis bigs. He has to hit the weight room. (Everytime I think he can help he proves me wrong.) Bargnani is going to get shock when his contract is up unless BC still thinks he is the "guy"! Hope he is banking some of that money be is earning now, cause there is a big paycut coming.

Hasn't it dawned on anybody that Andrea just doesn't like basketball?

It's full of Bad Men that want to hurt him...
Full of strange dudes that speak Urban and hang with rappers and bang hoes.

FREE ANDREA NOW!

Let him go be a desert monk...
Or open a pasta shack...
Or be a goat shepherd...
End the insanity... let Andrea abide.

So far I have read /

The Toronto Raptors are the team most likely to acquire Sebastian Telfair from the Phoenix Suns.

All that it would take is a 2nd round pic at the most . Telfair isn't a young pup anymore and really is only another Lucas ie a 7+ year PG in the league who has gotton a million chances on other teams .
