I'm trying to order uniqe looking lamps that are only made in a specific city in Pakistan. But they don't ship to Canada (they only ship within Pakistan), nor do I know anyone living in Pakistan. How do I get those lamps that I want so badly?
How to get items that won't ship to Canada if you don't know anyone in that country?

go online and find a shipping company over there. like a place that does over seas packing ans shipping. buy the lamps and have them sent to the freight place, then tell the freight place where to ship them. you will end up paying a ridiculous price but if you want them that bad that is the way to go. u.s and canada have them. we call them forwarding companies. ship to them, tell them to ship to you. simple.
i deal with companies like this quite a bit. in fact i got 3 deliveries on my trailer right now going to forwarding companies on the border that will ship to mexico. you could check with ups or fedex and see if they have depots in pakistan. then at least you are dealing with a bigger well known company.

i think i got their u.s website cuz i am in the u.s and google knows my location. there has to be a u.p.s or fedex or even dhl over there.
Not sure if I can shed any light on your lamp problem but I bet if you put an ad in the right category in craigslist here in the GTA you could find someone with connections in that city to arrange it for you.
I'm waiting for the offer to come over and install the 30 amp pre-heater for them!
I thought Pakistan was a 220 Volt country?
Also you do know that if they start a fire and have not been approved by the Canadian testing people your insurance will not pay, right?
Is it a salt lamp? You can buy Himalayan salt lamps locally, don't need to import them yourself.
Well I found UPS depots in Pakistan with phone numbers but I don't trust that when they receive the lamps that they will ship them to me, and probably get mixed up with other orders. I know some Pakistani people here and will ask each one if they know someone close to them living there who will ship them to them.
