I love The Walking Dead, and the most recent episode had me on the edge of my seat totally invested. However I was sad to watch Daryl leave as he is such a big part Rick's group. I understand that Merle is Daryl's brother who he just reunited with, but Merle has no redeeming qualities. Daryl has a new family back at the prison, they respect him and he is a valuable member of the team. I think Daryl made the wrong choice going off with his psychopathic brother. However I am interested in seeing how this story line plays out. I am almost sure that Daryl will reunite with Rick's group, but I hope Merle is zombie chowder by then. What do you guys think should Daryl have stayed with the group or left with Merle?

On another note Rick is totally losing it! I love it. So excited for the second half of season two. :)

Yeah, I don't think the Daryl and Merle reunion will last long! Daryl's character has evolved too much, to coexist with crazy Merle. I don't think they are going to kill off Merle, he's perfect as someone to "love to hate."

it is actually season 3. daryl had to leave because of the code and family loyalty he has. he won't stay gone though, i watched the promo for next week and he is still around. he is the best character on the show.

Kin is Kin , as a family member he would have a different view of his Brothers than other's would, especially since it's an older brother , no other family left we know of, he would have to follow him, for now at least.

Why is it they are not afraid to catch something when they kill a walker and get blood and guts all over themselves? The smart thing to do is to baricade themselves inside and try to survive until all the walkers die from starvation or exposure.

and what happens when they run out of food and have barricaded themselves inside and haven't planted or tried to grow anything or found a solid water source ?

Another thing that comes to mind, wouldn't all the walking dead freeze in cold climates! A northern winter would end any walking zombies problems!

they are already dead and thus would already be cold. so i don't see the cold affecting something that is already cold.

Daryl left him once before and probably feels guilty about doing it again. I wouldn't be surprised if they end up back with the Governor until Daryl smartness up.

You probably shouldn't put spoilers in your topic heading lol

Daryl's a favourite character of many, so I highly doubt he's going to disappear from the show. I'm not thinking he's going to get very far away from Rick's group anyway. I mean, remember the finale of season two where they all got separated? I thought that was the perfect opportunity for them to explore the different dynamics of the smaller groups off doing their own thing. Then they all got back together (except Andrea obviously) and left me wondering why the show made them get separated in the first place....

No, I'm not worried about Daryl. I'm more worried about the direction Rick seems to be going in.

ARE YOU SERIOUS!!!??

SPOILER MUCH?

I'm trying to not read much into the other posts in the thread and I'm going to try to forgot anything I read in your thread title.

Come on though! You know there are people that probably haven't watched the episode though, right?

Oh, there's also a thread on the Walking Dead show and you could also post stuff there.

Disclaimer: Use *SPOILER ALERT* or something of that sort before giving us the script ;)

Seriously simon? Why don't you post something about a movie released 4 days ago and see if people appreciate it? Some people haven't gotten around to watching it yet. I watched it two days ago, but for the sake of those who haven't, a warning would have been nice. You're usually more reasonable than that....

a movie that was just released and still in theaters is something different. not everyone can get to see it and that should be clearly marked with spoilers. this is a t.v show that has been talked about endlessly between twitter and facebook. so to complain about it here is ridiculous. it's people looking to complain for no reason. i foolishly logged into facebook 10 mins after it was over and every fucking post was about it. same thing happened on last season of sons when opie died.

it is arguably the biggest show on t.v right now and you can't complain 4 days later if people are talking about it. unless you have turned off every faucet of media in your life for those 4 days.

I don't mean cold to the touch, I mean frozen stiff! Below zero fahrenheit will stop the dead or living, without insulation.

Logic ruins the whole idea of zombies. Flies would lay eggs on a corpse within a day, the eggs would hatch into maggots in another day or so, and those maggots would consume about 60% of the flesh of a corpse in about 7 days (though of course it varies depending on ambient temperature and other factors...but it doesn't take that long).

There would be little more than a skeleton left in a month - and without any muscle tissue left (or really any tissue, for that matter), it's not gonna be moving much or be much of a physical threat.

But that wouldn't make for much of a show

quite true. i didn't think of it like that. i was thinking they were already cold and couldn't get colder. in that case why not go get some of that nitro shit and freeze them like in terminator 2.

Okay then, we definitely aren't going to come to agreement lol.

At the end of the first season, this group of survivors went to the CDC ( Center for Disease Control ) in Atlanta. They found out that the virus kills the brain but allows the brain stem to remain alive to control the host body. The Walkers will look for food ( living humans ) to survive. They are brain dead but the body still lives until it will eventually die from the disease, starvation, cold or exposure. It is only a matter of time before each walker will die off from lack of sustenance. So just barricade yourself up and only venture out for food and water when necessary.

Just find a Hummer and mow down the walkers and go get what you want when you want.
