When her body was discovered almost 2 years ago, there was speculation it might have been a "John". Looks like clients are no longer suspects, if they ever were.
TORONTO - A man is appearing in court in Calgary at this hour where he will be charged with the murder of 20-year-old escort Kera Freeland.
Freeland’s remains were found March 2011 in Caledon.
The Calgary woman, who worked for a Toronto escort agency, was reported missing by friends.
Christopher Andronakos was arrested without incident Wednesday by Calgary Police.
OPP major crime inspector Chris Gilpin is in Calgary and attending the court hearing. From there she is expected to make an application to return the suspect back to Ontario to face the charge here.
“The plan is to have him flown back tomorrow (Friday),” said an OPP source. “He will then be processed and appear in court again in Caledon.”
Sources all say the man was close to Freeland.
Charges were laid after DNA results linked the suspect to the case.

He was probably their primary suspect but it takes time to build a durable case that will result in a conviction.
