Holy smoke, the Raptors loose again after having a lead in the fourth quarter, the 11th time in 28 games. The winning shot was amazing, but golly Molly.

Rap fans are tired of hearing it but, Raps need to learn how to close out games
Ya man, I've been hanging out at RealGM to get up to speed...
The place is having a complete, rubber room nervous breakdown...
Your typical concentration camp is a joyous place in comparison.

The Raps are actually a pretty interesting team...
And play hard like they care, thus all the dramatic endings...
But they have no closer, no candidates for superstar, a laughable GM.

To win you need 2 superstars, a great coach, and many well chosen pieces...
There is just no way to get from A to B...
Pass the thorazine, baby.

I think the real question is Andre Drummond or Jonas Valanciunas? The Raps passed on Drummond because they looked at Jonas as their big center of the future and took Ross to round out the weak wing position.

From what I've seen of Jonas when healthy, I love it, he looks like he'll always give a crap and play hard.

I also like what I've seen from Ross so far as well, so no complaints yet from me no matter how well Drummond is playing at the moment.

Rudy Gay is coming to town for ED and Jose!

What do you think?

And who's gonna buy a Raptors jersey with Gay on the back of it? LOL

The Gay Era will buy Bryan the rest of the year...
And firing Casey at the end of the season will sneak Bryan into 2013-14.

Every move is strategically designed to extend Bryan's tenure.

If you look at numbers alone, Calderon is more valuable than Gay. Then you throw in all the potential of Ed Davis. Memphis wins on this trade. Sorry to see both Calderon and Davis leave. Its going to be hard not to keep following Ed Davis and see how he develops. Funny how I didn't see him going anywhere last year, and this year he seems to have shown up with an "all round game". I can't help but think Davis may be a real sore spot for us looking forward..I really liked watching Davis and AMir together.....and Frankly I don't know how good Gay is anymore...hope I'm wrong.

I know a lot of people were trying to run Jose out of town saying he can't play D. While that is partially true, I've always felt the team played better under Jose running the offense instead of Lowry. I like Lowry's hustle but he is a bit too hectic for me sometimes and Jose just has a better calming influence on the floor. I also feel Ed Davis is on the up and up and this can turn back to bite us like the Roy Hibbert for Jermaine O'Neal deal. I prefer Davis over Andrea and they should've traded him instead...

Agreed about Jose, he was a calming influence. Plus, I'm a little worried about Lowry and his health history. He always seems to get injured and if he does, then what? John Lucas? They have to to get a steady backup in the offseason.

Still, excited for the Rudy Gay era. They guy is one of those freakish athletes, fun as hell to watch and away from the confines of the slow Memphis offense he might do some take his game to another level, fingers crossed anyway.

Jose is a free agent this summer and might want a chance to play for a winner and Davis and Amir are the same type of player . I think the Raps didn't give up much and Bargs is a asset that can still be traded . Funny how most Rap fans wanted Raps to amnesty Calderon but now he seems to be a fan favorite . Lets not forget about Jose's hamstring history .

Gay has some of the same issues Derozan has.. poor 3 pt shooter, not very good ball handling skills, but he's older, never had playoff success, more of a low % chucker the last few years, doesn't exert effort defensively and paid waaay too much (how did someone who only scored 20ppg once in his career get over 15 million per?!)

I think without the veteran presence of Jose facilitating the offense, Casey could look that much worse as a coach offensively.

I hope Ross wasn't expecting his playing time to increase any time soon.

Didn't realize there was a Lowry and Gay connection as well (I think Gay is Lowry's kid's Godfather or something like that). They are basically making their bed with Lowry. While I have nothing against the guy, not sure he has shown enough sampling to be "The Man" for the Raptors going forward. Last time they had BFF's playing together I believe was the whole Bosh and Jack era - neither of whom are with the team anymore. Let's hope this one plays out a bit better.

I would've taken Drummond anyway. Play him at the 4 with Valanciunas at 5.

Gasol is not happy and coach is kind of sick dealing with it ... Colengelo is looking to trade Bargs Bryan Colangelo admitted on NBA TV that the Toronto Raptors are shooping Andrea Bargnani.

Colangelo has spoken with Bargnani's agent about possible moves.

"I'm not saying he's asked for a trade, but he certainly would not fight or resist a [new] situation," said Colangelo.

How about Landry Fields and Bargs for Gasol ? ESPN trade machine says this trade works .

The Grizzlies traded Calderon to the Detroit Pistons for forwards Austin Daye and Tayshaun Prince . I guess when we were talking about the market for Jose . This is what it would fetch you .
