A jury had awarded the victim $95 million, but the award was later reduced to $39.8 million by the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Illinois.

Alford claims that Moore groped her breasts and made comments about her appearance. Moore was also accused of sneaking up behind Alford when she was in the back stockroom and hitting the top of her head with his penis.
On another ocassion, Alford claims that Moore threw her to the ground, lifted up her shirt, and masturbated over her while he held her down.
Alford alleges that she called the company’s sexual harassment hotline and left a message, but no company representative contacted her regarding her message to the hotline."
