Only in the land of the free and the home of the brave...I know it's illegal here in Canada(at least Ontario) to have a loaded improperly stored weapon. I guess someone can correct me if I'm wrong. But something seems fishy about this death. He doesn't know his girlfriend lives with him? He doesn't know her routine(way she walks, breathe's). No communication(both parties) was given before he pulled the trigger? Police have "No plan to file charges" currently. Hmmm... whether or not it was an accident; seems like an easy way to get away with murder.

maybe his grilfriend looked like the government and he thought he needed to defend himself.

sounds like an easy way to get away with murder as a previous person posted.

So leaving aside the political points that thus far have been the only comments made. This man's actions were responsible in what way?

if he wanted to kill his wife he should have taken her hiking and pushed her off a cliff ( its foolproof )

He killed his girlfriend not his wife. Only fools believe its easy to commit murder and get away with it.
