While I agree with RLD that the likelihood of a successful criminal prosecution related to the death of this poor nurse are not great, the likelihood of a successful civil suit is much greater. Further, there is frankly no doubt in my mind as the moral culpability of Mel Greig and Michael Christian and the radio station in her death.

Criminal prosecution related to the phone call is another matter.
There is no doubt in your mind only because you are ignorant of the psychiatric issues relating to suicides and have bought into a pop culture myth.

I say man....don't spill your tea! Do we know anything of the private medical details that were supposedly revealed? All I heard was two bad British accents saying ridiculously un-royal things. To the extent that Blackrock and Aardvark and the Royal worshipping media have blown this story up way beyond its importance, you could all be held responsible for the woman's horror and guilt which resulted directly in her suicide.
Do you think the 'private' details would be made public just to satisfy 'your' curiosity? All you and I have heard were the parts that were allowed to be made public. You do understand what the word private means, yes? As for Aartie and my reaction it's in response to the idiots like you, nothing more. The story was simple, a couple of people pulled a prank and someone died as a result of that prank. The rest of the stuff isn't really important, but th OP made it so so by referring to it as a 'Royal' prank.

The arguments about the professional skill or phycological profiles of the dead nurse by armchair amateurs on TERB is total BS and may give some insight on this members outlook on life and responsibility.

As already stated none of this train of events would have occurred save for the telephone call. Hence that is where the responsiblity lies.
Interesting. You KNOW that the suicide would not have happened save for the phone call. You are the only known case of a human being able to experience alternative universes.

One naturally have to wonder why you are wasting this unique talent on an escort review board.

About as well as you knowing if it wouldn't have happened. You did understand the Eggshell comment made sometime ago, yes? Your comment would appear to show otherwise.

Surely Danmand you must have been subject to more peremptory challenges when you are in the jury pool than any other man in Ontario.

And your mother must have made a large donation to the Santa Barbara law school for you to get your degree.

However, there are eleven judges amongst their alumni, then again, Superior Court Judges in California are elected.

p.s. Sorry Charlie I'm an alumnus of an accredited school.

p.p.s. How do any of us know anything about other posters?

You can easily clear this up by posting your diploma.

Hence does this mean that you are really a 25 year old mechanic in Dawson CIty with a vivid imagination?
Who knows? I am not claiming any degrees.

PS: Are you posting your diploma.

A source confirmed that 2DayFM’s lawyers had listened to audio of the entire call prior to broadcast and had given it clearance to go to air.

Mr Holleran (the chief executive of Southern Cross Austereo, which owns the station) said it was ‘a bit early’ to be drawing conclusions (about the suicide) from what was really a ‘deeply tragic matter.’

He added: ‘I don’t think anyone could have reasonably foreseen that this was going to be a result.'

He seems to be trying to put the 'A reasonable person would not have reacted this way to being punked' defense out there as I suppose he will do in any for future civil action

The Associated Press reports that the Chairman of the King Edward VII Hospital's Board of Trustees has written the Chairman of Southern Cross Austereo (owners of the 2Day FM radio station in Sydney) seeking to ensure that such an incident would never happen again. "It was extremely foolish of your presenters [to decide to] lie their way through to one of our patients, let alone actually make the call, The immediate consequence has been the humiliation of two "dedicated and caring" nurses, he said. "The longer term consequence has been reported around the world and is, frankly, tragic beyond words."
