That whole 401/404 interchange is a mess. It is not designed for the volume of traffic that passes through on any given day. If your expectation is that you can cruise down the HOV lane and then cut over as you approach the 401 exit, then you are obviously mistaken. I take it the problem is the traffic backed up for kilometers. So you need to cut over sooner. Its too bad you get stuck in that mess, but the HOV lane doesn't allow you to bypass it all. I avoid that interchange altogether. If I want 401 East, exit at Finch and take Victoria Park south to 401.Hi all. I am driving down the DVP on HOV lane and it is a pain in the butt to cut from the HOV all the way to the 401 east. Who da hell designed that?

And I can't believe the problem hasn't been fixed after that.I've complained about this on Terb before.
Maybe you'll have better luck? And I can't believe the problem hasn't been fixed after that.
Not with the province still in the hole for multi billions and the current cost of doing anything on 400 series highway starting in the tens of millions, and you talking about fixing something major on, not one, but two of them at once.Maybe you'll have better luck?
Exactly. More nonsense from environmentalists.............unfortunately they appear in most major metropolitan cities.I'd amend that to: Who is the genius that designed HOV lanes???
I'm gonna go off on a limb and say he/she is probably far LeftI'd amend that to: Who is the genius that designed HOV lanes???
Big article in today's Post about variable toll lanes replacing HOVs. Shall we assume you and KD are in favour? What we're unlikely to get—unless we pay a lot more—is more roads. HOVs were a last chance to drive as if we had just opened e new one, but not have to pay for the privilege.I'm gonna go off on a limb and say he/she is probably far Left

But the tolls will keep the rifraff off
I expect so.Maybe you'll have better luck?
McGuintyI'd amend that to: Who is the genius that designed HOV lanes???
I believe he asked who's "the genius".McGuinty
If it does, the clogging will drive some back to the toll roads.I support toll roads.
My only concern is will it clog up city streets like Bloor, Sheppard, Finch...etc
